Nice spot, good facilities and 2 minutes walking distance from the centre of Queenstown.
Only negative is that the sites are all pretty close to one another!

Quite pricey for powered sites considering that you are cramped into little more than a parking spot.
But then it's Queenstown...
Clean and plenty facilities
Easy walking distance to city
Boil water notice still in place!

Currently have construction going on, but their website does warn you of this.
Facilities are good and clean. Walking distance to town, so no need to drive or try and find car parking.
You are in rows of camping sites, but you don't come here for the camping experience, it's the ease and cleanliness. You spend all your time out exploring or adventuring. Everyone is respectful of noise through the night. Find people will be quieter than at DOCS sites

A better place to stay in Queenstown for 1 or 2 days and explore easily the town, gondola or kiwi conservation center.
Only drawback, places for campervan were a little bit narrow.

Lovely campground overall.
Great facilities & nice staff at reception. The only thing is that there is a limitation on the wifi you are provided with - only 1GB per device per day.
Quite busy in winter so would definitely consider booking if visiting at a busier time in the year.

The location is the only positive thing about this place.
The showers, toilets, kitchen and so on is pretty far away from the camping spots. The kitchen doesn’t have any pans or equipment - you need to go all the way down to the reception, give them credit card details, borrow the stuff and then go all the way back.
The camping spots is all in a line, and very close - you barely have room for a chair outside of your camper.
And you can’t get coins for the washing machine in the reception..

Only positive point is the walking distance to the town center.
They put 2 spots on the original site. We had 1 meter between 2 big motorhomes. The fence makes the scenery complete.

A very handy spot to town.
Fairly steep walk. Reception (Summer) was a delight, and very friendly. Doing a load of washing was abit of a chore, I got locked on the outside of the park. Remember the code, but that's my fault really. Construction work happening right behind us, but no to bad

As others have mentioned, it's one of the more expensive camp grounds but understandable given its close proximity to town.
We didn't use much of the facilities but they seemed clean, the herb garden was a nice touch. The sites are relatively small and cramped together though. Fine when we were there but I imagine it wouldn't be the best experience when this place is full

The name is Lakeview but it should be more like construction site view.
Meters from where you park your van your view of the lake is obstructed by a construction site, not ideal. The kitchen facilities were lovely and although the toilets and showers are in a site shed they were also ok. Just really disappointing with all the construction going on it really dampens the vibe of the place, also there are no path lights when you walk from the toilets back to your camper at night making it really hard to see so don't accidentally try go into someone else's van!

If I could give this place a 0 rating I would.
This was the most expensive and worst place we have stayed at. Packed in like sardines, next to a construction site. The amenties are a transportable site building that contains showers and 3 toilets, for about 60 motorhomes. It is nothing more than a glorified carpark, no fresh water, and the dump station is out near the cemetery. Yes this place might be close to town, but I would rather walk an extra 400mtrs and stay somewhere that actually cares about customers.

Possibly the worst place we have stayed since travelling around NZ on holidays.
It is nothing more than a carpark, surrounded by construction & earthmoving. Toilets and showers are in a demountable building at the other end of the park, as is the dump station. Only reason we chose this was the close proximity to town. But for $57 a night definitely not worth it.
