A really nice park.
Impeccably kept. Only down side was that we were the only ones there. It is a little tired, but still very nice. Warm-hot shower - medium pressure. Powered site was $32.00NZ for 2 people.

This holiday park is one out of the box.
Keith and Joy who run the camp and animal park are 2 people who will go the extra mile to make your stay very memorable.
The park also includes an animal park where the kids and adults can feed the animals with Keith and Joy twice a day and also wonder up and down as the like. I have been taking my family for 7 years now and I have found that the animals are as important as those who come to stay whether for a day or a month. Keith can tell you a funny story about every one of his animals and knows and cares for them as if they were his own kids . Now this can be from feeding twice a day to bottle feeding a baby wallaby (who has lost its mum ) every 4 hours for weeks on end.
But now dont think the animals are everything , the kids are too . Keith is like the Pied Piper , by the end of you stay Keith will be part of you family like he is ours and your kids will be calling him Mr Keith and living every moment of every story that he tells.
At Xmas you will find Keith and Joy mingling with all Campers and providing prizes for all sorts of things from milking the Strawberry cow to finding the longest piece of grass in the scavenger hunt.
To Keith and Joy i say thankyou for the many years of happiness and the experiences that my kids and I have had . If I was selfish i would say i hope you are there for a very long time because what you have given to my kids is priceless.

An old fashioned camping site, without all the trimmings of a Top Ten.
But lovely, natural surroundings. And my kids absolutely loved feeding the animals with Keith. Something special.

Basic but homely.
Would be ideal if one had children camping with them.

This is a lovely simple holiday park and the owners Keith & Joy are fantastic hosts providing great information and recommendations of local attractions and activities.
The park in general is a little tired and the bathrooms could do with modernisation but if you are looking for basic clean park in a rural setting this is nice. In its day the farm would have been great for kids to see and interact the animals but unfortunately many of the animals are gone however we still were able to see Llamas, Peacocks, Possums, Sheep, Deer and at dusk at the back of the park Wallabies roam wild in the forrest. We stayed in a one of the two cabins available and found this very comfortable and if we had used our tents the powered and non-powered sites looked very spacious.
