Diane works at the campsite and was so great to deal with.
They had a motorcycle group staying whilst we were there and the campsite was super busy. We called ahead and Diane sorted us out with a great spot out the back. The facilities were spotless and the cleanest on our two week trip around NZ. Not a creepy crawly in sight in the bathrooms 👌will definitely be back.

We can't rate this campsite and the owners, Georgie and Pete enough!
Myself and my bf stayed here throughout the winter season whilst we worked up at mt hutt.
Georgie and Pete were so accommodating! We really felt like we were a part of their extended family
After a few weeks of living in our van we were offered one of their lodges for the duration of our stay!
Everything was super clean, beautiful and the whole place is welcoming! Kitchen has everything you need and the bathroom has hot showers 😍
Georgie and Pete go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be!
We miss our home already 😔
But will definitely make sure to come back!
Thankyou Georgie and Pete ❤

What a lovely place!
It's a sweet small camping owned by a nice family. Facilities are great and very clean. We even thought the price was to low ($26 non powered site, 2 people).
WiFi is free and very good.

Lovely little old fashioned campground.
Owners obviously take a lot of pride in their ground as it is neat as a pin with beautiful trees/garden. Very quiet and clean. I would prefer the bathrooms to be warmer, even if I had to put coins in a heater? But not a big deal. A nice option to stay in the countryside and also close to Mt Hutt, which is where we were headed after our night at Mt Somers. Would stay again.

Small but friendly camp.
Dated but immaculately clean facilities. Lacks a playground, so kids found it a bit boring.

Very neat camping ground with very friendly owners.
The facilities are not the newest ones but very clean and we felt really comfortable. There is also a common room available where you can e.g. play some table tennis.

Travelling in Campervan from Christchurch to Geraldine but left Christchurch late.
Our map showed this Holiday Park at Mt Somers so we pulled in to check it out. We had a choice of en-suite cabin; basic cabin and powered campervan site. We parked the campervan near the hedge with roses and dahlias all in flower along the fence. A most pleasant surprise - very friendly and welcoming staff - spotless facilities and nowhere near as crowded and busy like the big sites. Pub just down the road and a small "village store" one block over. We liked it so well that we stayed an extra night so that we could go walking on the trails surrounding the actual Mt Somers (trailhead about 10k). We shall return!

Just back from a long weekend at this holiday park.
Would have ranked this as a 10 due to pristine clean shared facilities and friendly service. However, our stay was a little marred by the fact that the large group of campers next to our site had dogs that kept wandering round our site defecating everywhere. Really unpleasant! We will be checking in future and only staying at campsites that ensure dogs are kept on leads and owners are expected to pick up after them. We don't have kids but I definitely wouldn't want to stay here with lit tiles if there were people with dogs around. This really is the only negative I have though - it would have been perfect otherwise.
