Super friendly host!
Clean and up to date facilities (50c for a shower but well worth it hot water and enough time to fully clean). Kitchen well stocked with pots, plates, and cutlery. Also a large communal room with TV, pool table and ping pong. Wifi near the office but dies out pretty quick.

Absolutely lovely campsite for a campervan or tent.
Big indoor lounge with games (boardgames, dart, pooltable, table tennis), woodfire and well equipped kitchen. Other reviews are about old toilets/showers but that must be outdated as they look new and are kept nice and clean. Showers take 50 cents for about 5 minutes of hot water. There are also washing machines and a dryer (these take 2 dollars). It is close to the city center.
We were here for snowboarding at Mount Hutt, and the campground is a great base to do that.

Fantastic campground, heaps of space, beautifully manicured grounds with lush green grass, facilities very tidy with updated showers and toilets, a big games room with plenty for the family to do in the
evenings.
Stayed 2 nights and we will definitely be back.

Came here to use their showers, there was a man in the ladies so I waited as I thought he might be the cleaner.
Waited 30 minutes and he was still in there so I left to find somewhere else. Looks like the site of long term campers/residents - looked a bit dodgy and glad I moved on.

Great big camp ground in walking distance of Methven Town.
The facilities were a bit old but very clean and tidy, and there was heaps of cooking equipment in the kitchen which was helpful.

Friendly hosts.
Showers only $0.50, laundry $2. Walking distance to town, pubs, Four Square, Hammer Hardware, and cafes. For a fee, hosts will pick up/drop of for Te Araroa walkers.

The camp ground was run down and one of the most expensive yet one of the poorest facilities we experienced during our 2 week south island tour.
Would recommend others to stay elsewhere. Electronic systems are antiquated yet they as for your electrical wof! Location was quiet enough and good access to Mt Hutt and Methven stores.

This was a brilliant place, great value for all the facilities and the owners so friendly and helpful.
Great hot showers, (50c for a plenty of time) sparkling clean, big kitchen with everything you need and a fun games room. Stayed early April and got there early so wasn’t too busy but they get busy in ski season I gather. Very near the town and a great base for walks up Haketere way. Oh, and a gorgeous Labrador puppy in the grounds plus two fluffy cats we spotted.

While travelling the length of New Zealandby bicycle, the Methven campground was one of the friendliest we stayed at.
Well-stocked kitchen, clean hot showers for only $.50 and a lovely new camping pod cabin. The owners were extremely helpful and no question or request was too difficult. Recommended!
