Exelent quiet and fairly clean site which lots of space, friendly staff - few tourists and lots of local families❤️ Maybe best out of holiday season where it could be crowded.

Great location.
Forest, beach and aviary were great. Basic but clean kitchen. The only thing letting it down are the showers. 5 mins, preset temperature which was, quite frankly, lukewarm.

Too expensive for what you get.
We paid about 65$ for 2 adults and 2 small children on a powered site, it was a grey winter day and the atmosphere on the camping was completely dead, the common rooms (inclusive bathrooms) were really cold and the equipments not clean enough so that you didn’t want to use it. The playgrounds were all broken. Unfortunately an aging camping with a need of refreshment.

Big park, lots of resident caravans.
$43 for powered site for 2 on large slightly marshy grass area. 5 min walk to sandy beach w/lots of washed up tree stumps and assorted wood debris.
Amenities on hilltop so some walk to toilets and showers. The kitchen is sparsely equipped. Showers on 5 min timer. Water pressure & temperature ok.
If U need wifi have to pay xtra.

Had three workers stay in cabins at this camp for two weeks, cabins were clean and tidy, toilets and showers were nice and fresh.
The boys enjoyed their stay specially being so close to the beach, staff were very pleasant and helpful. Have booked in again for our next trip to Christchurch.

Big campsite with lots of caravans parked up there but there was only probably 7 groups of people actually staying the night so made it a quiet campsite.
Showers weren't very good and were 2x50c coins. Great location for a long beach. Good value- $34 for 2 on a powered site.

Huge campsite with very few people actually there.
Gets a major plus for the beach, which is just a few minutes away. Showers, however, were crap.

A fantastic beginning to our trip around South Island.
The campsite is set in beautiful woodland with a short walk to a vast beach. Plenty of space and peace and quiet to get over the jet lag. Just one mark off for the showers which were a bit dated.

Awesome camp in my opinion as it is cheap if you compare it to others in the area.
I have two children under ten years old so I was happy with the three playgrounds as were they. Facilities were very good and although they were not new they were always clean and functional. Highly recommended to all travellers especially people in campers fresh off the plane and family campers.

A big campsite next to the beach with good connections to Christchurch.
However, passive aggressive official notices throughout the campsite meant we felt unwelcome. The showers cost a dollar for six minutes of hot water and were RUBBISH, it was like being dribbled on by a dog and were either freezing cold or boiling hot. They were also incredibly dirty with lots of hair on the walls and we had to pay a dollar for the experience!
We only stayed near Christchurch for one night however, if we were staying longer we would not have remained at this campsite as it did not have a welcoming atmosphere.

The lady on reception was really friendly and helpful with local places to eat but the facilities here are old and dated which is a shame because the park is in a great location.
I would have rated this place slightly higher but unfortunately the office was closed when we were checking out just before 10am, therefore we lost our refundable gate key deposit of $20. I'm sure this wouldn't normally be the case but it was a disappointing end to our stay.
