Really beautiful campsite with super friendly host and great facilities.
$25 pn for unpowered tent site, huge space allocated with picnic bench.
Clean, well equipped kitchen, with fridge freezer and bbq area, indoor and outdoor seating.
Clean private showers, laundry room $4 washer, $4 dryer and a cute pool area
Good cafe, 4square and a couple of places to eat in town too.
My second time staying here and a firm favourite, well worth the price

The nicest campground so far.
Very clean and cosy. Everything is so lovely furnished. We really recommend this place. We sleep in a roof tent. Here are also cabins. From outside they looks very good. Best price value.

Clean, cozy and unique.
We stayed at a powered camper site for two nights at the end of our vacation- Cheviot is close to the CC airport, with wineries on the way. What a peaceful, lovely surprise! Beautiful fall weather and friendly owners who take obvious care of the property!

Such a hidden gem!
We stumbled upon cheviet when looking for a nights stop on route to christchurch and we are so glad we stayed! Gorgeous boutique accommodation. The bathrooms are more ensuite then campground, kitchen is well equipped with everything from slow cookers to blenders, kids loved the pool and playground. Gardens are immaculate and give a real b&b vibe. We didn't want to leave!!

An incredible compound, we were in a self-contained camper and got a powered site.
Myself my 13-year-old and a dog. It was incredible, obviously the first thing for me is… Is it clean… And the bathrooms and kitchen were meticulous.
The best thing though, was the peacocks, the goats, the baby lamb nursing in the front of the owners house…
It’s walking distance to a small supermarket which is super useful for topping up supplies.
There’s a trampoline, which got the thumbs up from 13-year-old, little playground, and a very old school style swimming pool.

My partner and I loved the spot!
It was well kept, clean and the owners were lovely and accommodating. It was lovely hearing the birds chirping, the goats bleeting and the seeing the lambs chasing each other. We will be back!

This place was the best - cute baby lambs in the surrounding fields, clean toilet block and a kitchen, it was camping luxury.
Even a sitting room attached to the kitchen with some books and games! Loved our stay, perfect peaceful stop on our journey and very inexpensive given the amenities.

This place is amazing!
The shower and toilet block feels more like a countryside b&b than a campground, and despite being freezing outside it's warm in there. I never use camp kitchens because all my herbs, spices, food, etc are in my van and I can never be bothered to take everything out and put it all back in again, but for this kitchen I did! It's just cute, everywhere. I also usually don't like caravan parks, much preferring the wilderness, but this place was just blooming great! Would 100% stay here again!

Great amenities, clean and quaint peaceful campsite.
Lots of interesting farm animals if you're into that sort of thing - donkeys and turkeys. No native plantings, bush or surrounds - farmland

The best place I've stopped in New Zealand ever! Cabin was fully equipped. Kitchen full of kitchenware. Toilets clean and tidy. Looks like this place was made with love, not for money.
