Cabin was basically a run down portable office, super shoddy and smelt like someone had over cleaned to cover up a smell that was already there.

If you don’t care about decor the bed was fine, facilities are outdated and overpriced for what it was.

Our large family group (5 adults + 3 children) really enjoyed our stay at 252 Beachside.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, even opening up the pool especially so my kids could have a swim. We would definitely recommend to other family groups for affordable, spacious accommodation.

We arrived early afternoon and woman that checked us in was super nice and very helpful.

Small RV parking area but was just fine for this time of year. Showers were clean and hot. We saw someone using a BBQ for their dinner. We didn't use the kitchen so can't comment about that. There are no views here but you are about 2 mins from the beach and 3 mins to the glow worms.

Located a short walk from the beach, and an amazing gloworm dell.

This is primarily a motel with a courtyard area for motorhome visitors. Facilities were clean and laundry had commercial grade machines. Supermarket and other shops is around 800m walk away. Manager was extremely helpful.

We enjoyed the use of facilities such as the kitchen/lounge and access to wi-fi.

Overall, we had a comfortable overnight stay in the holiday park, though some of the utilities, such as the showers, were outdated.

Not too bad a van park.

It is dated but the amenities are clean. The hot water was warm enough but I do wonder how people get on in the winter. It was Spring (Oct) when we stayed here. The glow worm den is within walking distance of this place and is lovely to do and it is free. If you are in town and I suggest you go in as there is lots of interesting shops there and if you like a good pie and coffee. You have to go to the Regent Theatre for a pie. They are great.

    Hokitika lovely place to visit.

Camp ground quiet , facilities average.

Too much dog poo around, if you going to allow people to stay with pets they need to clean it up

Disappointed with the double cabin, too expensive for what it is and does not come with TV as advertised.

Cabin leaked onto the bed when it rained

    Very disappointing site.

We paid a lot more than the DOC sites for little more!. Kitchen has one stove and only 1 element worked. Reception was not particularly interested but it was important for us to cook up a few meals before going to more remote spots. Dryer took my money and never did a thing. Didn't bother going back to reception again. One of us had a cold shower and one a hot shower. Place feels dejected and in need of upgrading. Would not return.

Nice place, very close to the beach.

The facilities are old but the worst were the bucks in the bathrooms. They were everywhere! The relaxing shower wasn't relaxing at all...

It is a small but very nice campsite.

I stayed for 1 night and I liked it. Water spray is powerful, with mixer shower and it is free. Free 200mb wifi for each person. Warm kitchen and they even provided utensils. It is really generous. The downside is only the view. But it is close to beach and glowworm dell.
