Think this place deserves an upgraded review.
We stayed here for one night on our way to Abel Tasman, paid $50 for a powered site. Great place with clean, well-equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms and hot showers. Showers are $1 for 7 minutes of hot water. The place also has a pool and a playground for kids. Lots of long-term tenants in the motel and on the powered campsites, but everyone was friendly. Would recommend stopping here!

Travelling August 1919, good place to stay overnight, we came late and we are friendly welcomed .We paid $25 unpowered for two people, clean hot showers, hairdryer, good kitchen facilities, even with pots
and pans, free Wi-Fi, everything perfect for a Town campground.highly recommended

Very nice accommodation mirrors price perfectly.
Easy access to all facilities. Lovely, local couple whom couldn't do enough for you. Phone was ringing, 2 people running on reception but felt looked after (most professional). Very tidy and clean establishment. Good value for money. Thank you.

Sunny camp sites with a lovely homely feeling.
Just a short walk out back gate to the fabulous Richmond Mall - at least 60 shops. Cleanest camp site so far.

We arrived at midnight, parked our van and left a note.
Paying the next morning wasn't a problem at all, for a city campground it had lots of green and looked nicer that the family park in Nelson. Clean facilities and friendly staff.

The site was well equipped - the wash rooms and kitchen were good however the site was quite small (pitches close together) and it was in a very residential area.

Average location, average facilities, lots of residents which made you feel like an intruder, more expensive than the awesome park at Kaiteriteri, wouldn't stay again.

Friendly staff and clean facilities.
But, we had to pay $21 per person for a non powered tent site which was not really a site but just cramped between the TV room and some cabins. Kitchen way too small for the amount of campers.
