For 14 dollars a night for one person unpowered, it's pretty good.
Kitchen is big but no utensils/pans unfortunately but does have a lounge attached to it which has a TV.
The sleeping spots are very nice, big fields without a lot of noise, deer walking around and lots of birds singing.
Showers are a dollar for six minutes, but only through tokens at reception which is a bit annoying sometimes . Same goes for laundry which is 5 dollars a wash.
The manager is a kind man who loves a chat, and another girl working there is very nice as well!

Surrounded by lovely bush.
Quiet and peaceful. 10mins from town. Old facilities but very well maintained. $1 for 6 min hot shower. The office/reception was closed upon arrival so a little confusing as to where to park, wasn’t an issue though.

Nice place to park up when your only staying one night.
Kitchen, water and bathroom facilities are here including powered and non powered sites.
However when we stayed there was a resident on-site which made most guests feel uncomfortable.
Other permanent residents and tourists have complained about her however seems like management isn't doing alot about it.
For the amout of money we paid for one night I wasn't really worth it. However it's there if you need a place to stay

Practically in the city, but with none of the noise.
Surrounded by the bird sanctuary, the morning bird song is immense. we also had a couple of deer come and graze right next to us.
the staff are nice and friendly and the camping spots are generous in size. would highly recommend to anyone in the area as the price is cheap and the facilities are clean.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, it was a quiet and peaceful site to stay on.
I stayed in a cabin and it was basic and clean. The toilets and showers are extremely dated and the site has an old fashioned feel about it, but it served me well for an overnight.

Nice campsite up in the hills above Nelson.
Big site, loads of space and perfectly good facilities including big laundry. Friendly owners too. It's a good 4km walk back from Nelson, as my feet will testify after new year's eve, but a perfectly pleasant one.

A great alternative to the hectic Tahuna camp during summer.
Quiet and in the bush, but not a long walk to town.
