    Great spot.

    Verygood facilities.

The sealed road to it is outstanding.

The unsealed road out is worth the trip (parts of it are sealed).

The owners are friendly and helpful. I arrived in a big windstorm event , and was camping in a tent. He came and rescued me from my tent, which was struggling with the high winds , and put me up in a cabin , at no extra charge..

    I'll be visiting again.

Sadly I arrived on a wet windy afternoon and it rained with gusty wind all night.

Never got a chance to explore or enjoy the beach.

$30 per night for a powered site, solo

Didn’t even leave my motorhome … just too wet and miserable so didn’t use any facilities.

Long windy road in, I came from Masterton, check the weather before you venture here and stock up your supplies, small shop only. There is a local takeaway but only open weekends or end of week.

Would love to revisit in the summer and truly enjoy

    Little gem.

Older facilities but clean & tidy.

No water refilling or dump station but can access this in Dannevirke or Pongaroa.

    Friendly locals and stunning scenery.

Sealed road all way in from Dannevirke.

    Worth the stay. 👍

Great place - old school NZ, friendly and helpful owners.

Showers $1 and good length , very clean kitchen and communal areas. Lovely beach, partner had a good trip down memory lane checking out the tractors he used as a kid that are on display in the village for launching boats. Please do continue to keep some spots for travellers rathejr than anymore permanent beaches - it’s a neat place ....

good shop too - Many thanks

Stayed here for a night a couple of weeks ago.

It's a very pretty spot, the drive in and the beach are lovely. A quiet campground with a grassed area for campers on beach front. Mainly permanent cabins, all well kept. Bathrooms are good, showers operate by tokens, good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Kitchen is well equipped. Public recycling station next door. Enjoyed our night there and could have stayed longer.
