Wasn’t stoked with our last stay.
We’ve stayed many times over the years but this one was different. The hot water was broken at the main showers for the entire week we stayed so had to walk all the way to the front block where only 2 showers were and we’re always occupied. No discount for this either. $70 per night for 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 dogs at dog power site. We usually pay around $30-50 at other camp grounds but we had no choice this time as we had just sold our house & living in our caravan. Also they parked us right next to other people despite the camp being mostly empty. The main block amenities need to be upgraded anyway. The best part of this camp is the amount of spots, the jumping pillow and park, the stream right next to it with eels & trout, the walks you can do & the beach right across the road! Hopefully the management can up their game. 😌

The place was full with tents and any campers.
The children had fun on this rubber jumping but at 9 pm all was quiet.
I am alone with a campervan and pay 20 dollars for a power site. Did not use Internet.

Staff is not so bad!
Lady with rough voice at the reception, but friendly & helpful. Powered site for 2 adults 40 $ is ok. Option for hard surface or grass. Facilities old but ok clean. Walking distance to beach, park beside.

Booked last minute to have a night by the sea and watch the sunset was a two minute walk to the beach so perfect for me.
Was woken a few times by goods trains in the night.
Dog friendly.
Shower block old but clean and serviceable push button for showers free.
No hair dryers.
Didn’t use washer dryers so not sure.
Good sized sites.

I camped in a tent (cycle touring) for one night, for one person it was $20.
It was very busy due it being the height of summer vacation season. The staff were a little brusque, but perhaps they’d had a long day due to so many people being at the campsite. The facilities were clean and tidy (free hot showers on a 4 minute timer, several kitchens with oven, microwave, fridge and water boiler). I couldn’t find a TV lounge or Wi-Fi (no problem for me). It is very family orientated, with a playground, kids riding around on bikes and so on - a happy place. A stream runs through the site, when I was there you could see eels swimming in it which was nice. Not many bugs from the water either!

Family friendly site which also allows dogs.
Well set out grassy pitches, some with hedges. Dated facilities which aren’t the cleanest but good kitchen and bbq. Happy vibe on site, close to beach and Queen Elizabeth park so lots good walks. Happy to come here again.

Staff very unfriendly and unwelcoming.
Standard campsite close to the beach. But overpriced at 60$ especially considering you have to pay to get Wi-Fi ! 5$ for a meesily 1 gb of data. And it doesn't even reach your lot!! You need to go towards the main office to get reception...considering NOBODY charges for Wi-Fi anywhere anymore, and at 60$ a night, they could at least throw in the free Wi-Fi (it's already in the air!) Or at least welcome you with a smile...

Kids playground and trampolines need to be updated. 4 min showers suck!

Yes I agree, the woman who served us in the office had attitude and the personality of a zombie, it was like she didn’t want to be there and I wish the same!
However, the camp was lovely, spacious and apart from a groundsman who mowed the lawns the entire time we arrived until almost dark, we enjoyed the quail running around.

Rude and unhelpful staff who seem to think that dealing with customers is an imposition and a burden.
Very unpleasant. Steer clear of this place. Any other holiday park in Kapiti would be a better choice.

Nice coastal site.
Stayed in a powered campervan mid October. Very organised - you don't get to choose your spot, but the plots are pretty large and it was very quiet. Nice park between the site and the beach.
