Stayed here a month and more as doing some seasonal work around Hastings.
John and Darriel are super nice, even though the place is a bit old, but they maintained it well and clean. Free shower, simple kitchen facilities, washing and dryer machines, all you need is here, just you may need to bring your own pots, utensils etc.
Place is really affordable, $25/night for a non-powered spot and 2 people. So for people who need a quick stay, or coming here for some seasonal works, good value to stay there!

Great place to stay and right on the beach.
Shower blocks are a bit old but great water pressure and free. We love staying here as there is a fresh water lake which meets the sea so my son can surf and my daughter can swim in the lake as she does not like the sea.

Had a 4 night stay in a caravan at this old-style holiday park.
Found the locale to be perfect for what we wanted to do, the owner helpful and friendly. Powered site, hot showers, adequate toilet facilities, cook houuse well equipped with appliances.and other campers considerate
Tariff very reasonable.
Would definitely stay here again.

A very busy campsite.
The owner was helpful and squeezed us in without a booking (after the previous site had turned us away). A bit too busy for my liking but the facilities were decent.

This place is great and the owner super friendly!
We paid $23 for two at a powered site and had a nice space close to the beach. But the campground was very crowded with many young people working as fruit pickers. Toilet and showers are dirty and very busy. Laundry was a hustle because only two washing machines and one dryer is not enough and the residents complained. But we had a great lunch at Clearview Winery which is within walking distance.

Busy site with lots of long term renters, we paid $40 a night for four people for three days (powered site).
First night there, we lucked out and saw a pod of Orcas from the beach. Vineyard a short walk away (highly recommend) and a few other amenities mapped out. Lower score because the kitchen appliances, particularly the electric stoves, are barely working. Would stay again.

Good value for money.
We paid $20 for a non-powered site with 2 adults. Toilets and showers are not that clean, with lots of spider webs looks like it hasn't been cleaned for weeks, but warm and good showers. Site next to the beach was amazing. Owner is very friendly and good vibe on the park.

Friendly owner and we got lucky with a tent site by the sea but that's where the good review ends.
Toilets and shower area very dirty. We found the kitchen too dirty to cook in, seems like it hasn't got a scrub in decades. Plenty of freezers but they too need a good clean. Has great potential though.

Busy campsite on the shores of Hawke's Bay.
Lots of permanent residents. Toilets, showers and kitchen area not very clean. Lots of locals take their quads down onto the beach right in front of the campervans so the site is not so quiet. Alright for a one night stay but I wouldn't stay longer.
