When ‘cash is king’ Bill charged $40 for a very basic grass site in a soggy area.
The kitchen had gas top cookers but no gas and the electric two burner hob took ages to warm up. Surfaces needed cleaning down before using but the kettle worked!!
Showers were very basic as were toilets with no soap in dispenser or paper towels.
There were a few people camping in mobile homes and caravans, one got bogged, and remaining sites had long term temporary residences.
Considering this was the only place to stay on the drive around the east coast it was a necessity but be prepared for a unique experience.

Lovely, peaceful campsite.
It is on the more pricey side for a camp but it's very spacious and has clean facilities. Few things could be improved (i.e. working soap dispensers in bathrooms and some kind of waste disposal) but nothing that majorly effected our stay. We enjoyed our night and would stay again.

I have just been in touch with Bill the owner, who advised me that he is very much open. Don't know where you are getting your facts from, but for people who are trying to find out what's open and what's not it is very confusing!

John and Debbie stayed here in our campervan.
A very pretty location with easy access to the beach. Unfortunately the facilities and management were very run down. Soap dispensers were all empty and the hot water boiler was not turned on until 6 pm.

Good facilities showers we're good for us, has laundry facilities short easy walk to the beach across farmland.
Basic store slightly high-priced there are at least two other campsites in area we chose this because of the facilities. It could do with a spruce up but otherwise beautiful and peaceful if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs if you don't want the sheepdogs to wake you at 5 in the morning!

The facilities are adequate, there is a shop and trees for shade. There is a walk to a great beach. The camp is located by itself with no neighbors within a kilometer or so.

Beautiful setting in wide grassy grounds (can be very boggy aftre rain) with trees.
Walk through the meadows with calfs and horses to the beach. Amenities are simple, but ok. Very welcoming and friendly manager/owner. Must be great for kids with piglets running around and cheering everyone up.
A few cabins and permanent caravans look shattered and worn, not so nice.

A bit overpriced for what's available.
Service was friendly though. Weird rules. Cannot shower until 1830 which is a bit strange. Overall the scenery is quite nice.

Very basic facilities and in my opinion, overpriced.
Dirty toilets and not enough showers. 5 mins walk to beach. I guess they can charge that whatever they like as this is really the only place for tent/unpowered sites for a while. Even the small cabins look a bit spooky and when we stayed, a large group partied through the night. They have an onsite caravan though, that sells takeaways. the food was fantastic!

Nice green grass areas under trees to park.
Not maintained very well, power poles for campers rundown, toilets and showers old and tired. As are the ramshackle permanent caravans on site. 5 minute walk to the beach through the field of sheep and horses. Excellent sunrise.

The water needs boiling to make it drinkable because it's untreated.
This is a pretty poor campsite for the following reasons:
The kitchen has absolutely NO equipment beyond the cooker, microwave & fridge. (Note: no freezer.). Everything was very grubby. The ground turned into a swamp after rain. The septic tank or drains stank. There are lots and lots of mosquitoes. There's a number of caravans around the site that have been left to rot away. The washing machine cost $4, which is double the price of any other site we've used. The only seating area was either a bench for 3 people or an outdoor table. Despite all these issues it cost $15 per person for an unpowered, which is too much. Unfortunately it's the only site in the area.

But facilities have seen better days - some power points, and lights in washrooms not working, No locks on doors in toilets. But the only site for miles around!

-10 one nasty camp ground I've seen.
in the communal kitchen having breakfast the cleaner lady comes in with just a cloth and wipes every area down, no disinfectant used then tells me that she's being watched by the boss (bill) on installed camera and laughs unusual and unfriendly people. dirty bathroom, no locks on doors had t crop a leg t hold door close while urinating. the park needs maintenance or a tsunami. I was overcharged for a site and the bugger had the Hyde to smile. never will I return the website is false advertisement. very disappointed bro

I read reviews saying the views were wonderful, yet I couldn't see where you would park to get a view.
We could hear the beach though. At $52 for 2 adults and 2 children I feel it is way over priced for the faculties. Very run down and boggy parking. Some of the cabins looked to be very very run down, some newer. Abandoned caravans don't help with the feel of the place. Truth is if We had driven around first we would not of stayed. If it was a fairer price I would of accepted some of this. Kids loved the pigs running around, though!

We stayed here for 1 night on a power site.
$17pp.
+ Big open space to park,
+ Clean but dated facilities,
+ Friendly staff member,
+ Great location, views from the beach were awesome.
- Quite boggy field at the time,
- No soap in any off the toilets,
- Lock in men's cubicle toilet broken.
