Great Campsite!
Very reasonable pricing at 15$pp unpowered even during peak season!
Facilities Allright, 50ct for hot showers. Good wifi around the kitchen area. Mobile reception very unstable.
A lot of sites have a see view, very friendly staff will give you options on which site to pick. Would definitely stay again.

Astonishingly lovely place with GREAT managers.
Clean tidy gorgeous. Friendly helpful managers.
Should have taken the advice to camp under Pohutukawa, but the waterfront was too tempting.

If you like fishing like me, then this is the place to be.
There is a water taxi that will drop you on one of the islands for 30 dollars and picks you up at the end of the day.
Showers are 50cents but good kitchen is without pots and pans but clean. Service is excellent. Lots of local friendly campers. I went fishing with three of them on their boat.

Nice location, better than spending $88 for the Hahei top 10, really nice owner, Anita, lovely lass.
Only downside is that it is a fishing Mecca, boats and tractors moving around all the time. The beach is all stones and not nice to walk on. Limited things to do unless you are a fisherman with a boat.

Great location for boating, kayaking, fishing, and for young children.
We tented on the water front and just back from the beach on three occasions If the weather is good, this is a fantastic spot to launch the kayak and later in the day watch the sun go down.
Seems to be a bit short of bathroom space in the peak times, hence the presence of some potable toilets. The same for the communal kitchen, so you either need to be patient or avoid the congestion by having your own cooking equipment. However these are only minor matters and does not apply to self contained units and self contained mobile homes.

Bit busy and not a huge amount of space per site - our powered site would have felt squashed had we had a bigger van.
But it's right on the seashore, with perfectly good facilities and stunning scenery. A great first campsite for our holiday!
