Best holiday park we have stayed in we loved this place , highlight of our holiday.
It was abit on the pricey side but was worth it considering the luxury pools and activities are included in the price. The swim up bar and cocktails were very well received. Will be back again.

I agree with the positive comments below that it is a great place for kids. Adults too. The entertainment facilities are brilliant.
Why not a 10? This was the most expensive park we have stayed in. My gripe is they don’t have curtains and plastic duck mats in the showers. A lot of cheaper parks do.
In some cubicles the coat pegs are on the opposite side to the shower head and there is only a narrow divider. The water flow is high so splashes are inevitable. The floor gets wet so getting dressed and drying feet is not easy.
Its a great park for families but if you don’t want all the bells and whistles there are cheaper options.
We did enjoy the beer whilst in the pool!

This place was the highlight of our trip for the kids!
The facilities are off the charts (huge heated pool with swim-up bar, with large screen showings of Disney movies every afternoon that you can watch from inside the pool, huge waterslides, 2 bouncy pillows and an ok playground), which made it worthwhile for us to pay more than the usual price for a powered site. Absolutely recommend it

Absolutely brilliant campsite.
Very big, so the cheapest sites are a bit of a walk to the toilets. The pool is fantastic, and with a family film played at 5pm. So watching Moana, in the warm pool, drink in hand was ideal. Lots of sports activities. Great toilet and shower facilities. Expensive site, but great for a wee night of luxury (and still cheaper than my rent at home)

Oouph Taupo is expensive!
More expensive than Rotorua which surprised me. We enquired at this resort but it as $150+ per night for 2 adults and 2 kids (regardlesss of age over 1) in campervan. Very busy park with lots happening so perhaps good if you wanted to stay for a week on a family holiday but not so good for road holidays where you arrived after 4pm and leave by 10am as you wouldn't get the most out of the facilities and so pay an awful lot for power and a parking spot for a night. We didn't stay.

Guns guns and more guns.
Our entire time was spent listening to guns being fired continuously from morning to night at the neighbouring gun range. The owner thought this was completely acceptable and didn’t think it was information that should have been shared before taking the booking. Given this was easily the most expensive camp site I have ever booked, I would hope it didn’t come with constant gun fire!

Try to come here once a year.....its got the lot.
Feels like you're abroad in a fancy holiday park! It's got your usual arcade style area and rentable gokarts and trampoline pillow (2 of those, actually) but also has an electronic game that I cant quite describe and best of all.....WHAT A POOL!!! It has a screen for daily movies, a cave you can dive down in to touch the treasure chest at the bottom, and a BAR! In the pool! I haven't seen for a few months but I believe there is now some slides that, judging by the designs they had up last time, looked like theyd be amazing. If you have kids and dont fancy abroad, this I'd your place. Plus, Taupo itself is amazing.

Would live here if I could.
We came while Auckland were still locked down (Dec 2021) and there was hardly anyone else around. It was paradise. The pool is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. The bar, the cave, the spa, all so clean and perfect temperatures. We practically stayed in all day. The kitchen and bathrooms were really nice too. We paid $67 for an unpowered site (for 2, I think the price is just per site not per person) so it worked out to be pretty cheap considering we got two days of pool access. Could be a nightmare if it was busy, but quiet it is heaven on earth.

Most expensive site we have ever paid for in NZ (more expensive than one in walking distance of Queenstown CBD) which is quite unbelievable because it was definitely NOT worth it.
Not in walking distance to anywhere or anything. Majority of the park was closed for site grass maintenance. After paying our $$$ and signing weird digital T&C document, drove first to the dump site. Road was blocked off. Drove back to Reception “oh it’s closed as part of our site works” I was told. “Should have disclosed this before taking our $$$” I replied “as we need to use it/was one of the reasons we are paying to stay here”. Had to walk our tank way down a road and through worksite to empty it. NOT COOL when you were just charged over $90 for one night. Our site was not quite level but spacious. Wanted a swim and drink at the swim-up bar in the much advertised heat pool. Entered pool gate at 7pm only to see girl locking bar up for the night. Website and sign on gate all say bar open until 8pm, but no. More people joined us in the pool over the hour all commenting re why is bar closed early? Pool not hot enough, needs at least 2 degrees more to be confortable, freezing when we got out. Back wall of shower cubicle was shuddering / vibrating like a generator or similar on the other side - really, really loud. No relaxing here! Kitchen and laundry facilities also insufficient. Over-rated park, would not go back.

The best (and luxury) camping experience ever!
Only for 86NZD for 2 nights we had access to a thermal pool with a large movie screen from 8am to 10pm, very clean and well-maintained toilets, well-organized kitchen with lots of electrical plugs, and really good hot showers. Not to mention the always smiling helpful staff. It was an amazing stop over to relax and rewind before driving towards south island.

This was such a nice spot, that we decided to stay a second night.
The reception was great, they offered us a pick of where to put the campervan since it was empty. There's nice bathrooms, great showers, and a coin-operated laundry with dispensers for soap. The thermal pools were definitely the highlight - they range from warm to hot. There is a large screen playing movies, which you can see from most of the pools. Also a small swim in cave and swim/walk up bar. I was impressed with the bar - they had gluten free food options. I saw what looked like plenty activities for kids. All in all, I could've stayed there a week and been happy.

We thought $92 was expensive for a night for 2 adults and 2 kids however this is the best caravan park we have ever stayed in.
So many options for kids to do - they loved the go karts and the bouncy pillows and we all loved getting in the pool while it was 12degrees outside. Staff were really helpful when I had an issue with the dryers and the kitchen and bathroom were absolutely spotless. This encourages people to leave it as they found it.

This was my wife's favorite park because of the heated thermal pool.
The swim up bar is a nice touch! Chips were hot and crust and the beer cold and tasty. There is even an outdoor movie screen at the pool for the kids. Good place for families. It was a little noisy during the day due to what sounded like a shooting range nearby. Quiet enough at night.
