Really good value and the guy working was nice and helpful.
It’s right on the water and there is kayaks available to use. will definitely stay here again

The best place I've ever been too in NZ!
WiFi, kitchen, showers, whirlpool(ask to open on reception, be nice and they will open it)

Amazing exemplary service.
No request to Michelle was too much. Lovely atmosphere. Clean rooms an facilities. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Can't wait to come back.

Stayed overnight with my dog right on the edge of the water.
Michelle was so friendly and helpful - she even allowed my puppy into the lounge with me to watch TV! Showers were so hot and everything was clean and immaculate. Short stroll into town for supplies and the 10 minute drive to the hot water beach was a bonus.Will definitely be coming back!

Great little campsite.
Hot showers without time limits, very good communal facilities. Terrific views over the water and near to the town and hot water beach. We were in a large motorhome and due to heavy rains the other two camping grounds couldn't accommodate us, but we were able to get a hardstand site here. Staff were also friendly and helpful. Gave us a shovel to use for hot water beach too

Everything was amazing with our stay!
Class owner and class ground. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to make the most of the paddle boards and kayaks thanks to the amazing facilities!

The initial approach to the campground is enough to put anyone off - derelict cars, smelly fishing boat, containers all at the main entry make it look awful, but once inside the grounds, sites and facilities
are actually ok. Queer how the staff were mowing the lawns in the dark at 9pm - not good for campers with kids. We contemplated leaving after having paid and talking about things, but the road was closed from slips so we persevered and stayed. Ok experience but we won’t be back.

Hidden little gem in an underrated area.
Large and clean communal kitchen and 24 hour lounge area. Waterfront powered camp site is definitely worth it for the sunrise or just to chill out on the deck chairs and watch the afternoon ride go out. Hot water beach is about 10 minutes away. Hosts here are very welcoming and with the park being new, everything is in good condition. One of the best holiday parks we've stayed at in NZ.

Lovely little campground in Kawhia.
Loved our waterfront site (tents only, unpowered), second row (powered) would only have been half as nice.
Really nice new kitchen and hot showers with good water pressure, both very clean.
Great general atmosphere on the campground.
If you need you can borrow shovels (for free) to dig a pool at the local hot water beach.
Owner was a bit grumpy at us because we were late (thanks to Auckland traffic) and could only check in and pay the next day since reception was closed, but nothing major.
