Found the price only slightly higher than other campgrounds.
Unpowered site last one in row but very private with large hedge screen. And even though backed up on a housing development there was a high fence so heard no noise from that side.

We stayed in a powered site No 33 very unhappy we turned up to dog poo all though our site.
The on site caretaker did clean it all up as soon as we reported it after our 2 kids walk through a bunch of it.
Then we found we had been given the site in the middle of the permanent sites this was very upsetting as we found the permanent people don’t have the respect that we as travelers have. The facilities are very old but seem clean. The play ground is about 200 years old. For the price we paid left us very underwhelmed.
Not worth staying here and we won’t be back.

Great camp site.
We liked the plots that are in a circle around the common areas that alows easy access for everyone. Nicely separated by hedges too.
The facilities could use a bit of a refurbish, but they’re perfectly adequate and we stayed here several nights.

Travelling all over New Zealand and have NEVER paid 49.00 to camp in my tent (I am only one person).
It’s Hamilton for goodness sake! Would have gone elsewhere but on my bike and already rode all day.

Was the last park I stayed in before heading back overseas and what a wonderful experience.
I thought being in a city it would be noisy, but it was so peaceful, staff were extremely friendly and facilities were very clean. Enjoyed the privacy of the hedges. Very much enjoyed my stay, and well priced considering it is next to a city centre.

Stayed here purely for location, it was a 25 minute walk to town or a $12 for an uber.
Didn’t feel very friendly or personal, facilities are ok! A little dated and not the cleanest but did the job. Quite expensive compared to other parks with better facilities.

Worked well as an overnight stop for us.
30 minute walk or a quick uber to the centre and the restaurants.
Showers were hot, facilities were clean, pitch had a little hedge around it.
$67 for three of us

I camped here recently, good sight.
Had plenty of shade and good facilities. Super central to Hamilton and a supermarket just around the corner.

This is a good site, 20 minutes walk from the town centre with a big Supermarket opposite.
Lovely shady pitches, a bit expensive at $45 a night for one person on a powered site but very convenient for exploring Hamilton. I went for the cricket at Seddon Park which is a 30 minute walk. I would definitely recommend this site.

They asked me 96.- to pay for one person, a tent, unpowered for two nights.
So no Hamilton for me! What a shame.

After travelling both islands, can‘t recommend.
Grassy tent sites and gravel sites with power. Got a spot on the outside corner right on the main street with my van. Simply didn‘t need power that night. Sites were rather small, area I got placed didn‘t seem too well maintained. Price was 47$ unpowered, which was the highest I paid in all Aoteaora. Grass was very high, tree cutdowns were just left by the fence. The person at reception on arrival was very nice, also gave me the wifi password and told me the wifi is basically no good. After seeing my spot, I went up to the reception and asked if there was maybe another site available that was just a bit further away from the street and not so high grass. Didn’t have much hope, since I booked same day and figured I got one of the last spots for that night. Different person at reception (maybe owner), seemed annoyed by the question. Got offered the same site on the other side of the park. I wouldn‘t know how to get my camper in there or out, so I decided not to switch. What really made me feel unwelcome was the fact that around me and on the unpowered spots that were further away from the street no one pulled up that day. I figured okay last available spot, it is what it is. But all the spots stayed empty. And for 47$ that was just not very nice. Facilities were clean, showers were hot and free, the water just sprayed to the sides so you don‘t really know where to stand.

Ideally situated.
Nice quiet campsite which is well maintained. With the trees it's very tranquil. Kept very clean which includes the amenities. However, considering this is not adjacent a lake or sea or some other holiday niceties, it's very expensive compared to other parks. At $47 per night power and one person, a bit disappointing.

Beautiful landscaped site set back from main road so very little noise.
Located near a large supermarket (Countdown) for buying supplies. Easy 15 minute walk into town - we took scenic route via Parana Park and Soldiers Memorial Gardens. Plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes in the main street to choose from. Friendly staff were really helpful about route to take the next day. We had a campervan that was leaking after heavy rain so we stayed in a cabin - but shared common facilities which were clean and functional. Would definitely recommend to others wanting to stay in the Hamilton CBD area.

The site is getting a bit dated and needs an upgrade.
The worst thin g is the cost, $60 for a motorhome with 2 people, what a rip off it's the most I have ever paid and the site isn't even particularly good. I would recommend you avoid if you can.
