17May24.
2 adults in motorhome, powered site for 3 nights total $150.
We like Orewa a lot. Quite busy that weekend as a motorhome club had a meet. Still plenty of space.
Facilities good. Maybe a little tired in places but they get lots of use.
Between the road and the sea so you can be aware of some noise at times although we didn’t find it intrusive.
Straight onto a path to town on the beach side when light. A good walk in. Alternatively walk on the beach. It was hard sand so was easy walking.
The dump station at the north block is awkward unless your outlets are on the left hand side of your van. You also block the park road whilst dumping. I suggest if travelling north you use the public dump station at Hatfields Beach Reserve, on the left hand side of the road. Plenty of space and you can go either side of the station.
Plenty of eating and drinking places in town. We tried Coast and it was good.
Th lagoon walk is an easy well surfaced walk.

Great camp - very friendly staff, nice spot, massive sites, lots of shelter, and great access to the beach.
Facilities were clean and plentiful. I imagine it gets pretty hectic during peak times - we were there late January.

Absolutely would recommend this site, especially if you've just arrived in Auckland and need a place to stay less than an hour from the City.
It's beautiful, a stone's throw from the beach. All the amenities you could possibly need. The Surf club less than 500 meters away does excellent food with wonderful views of the beach and the kite surfers!
The reception staff were so helpful and helped me plan the next part of my trip. $23 nzd for a powered pitch, excellent value for a Top Ten resort.
I read previous reviews and was almost put off but glad I ignored them. Fabulous place to stay.

The way we where treated was the worst experience in New Zealand till now.
We booked a seafront spot and when we arrived they had given it to someone else. They said something went wrong in the system. The lady at the reception said when you called somebody else booked it at the same. But the thing is, we drove for more then two hours and nobody called us back when they noticed. And when we asked she didn’t had an answer why she didn’t called. So we don’t beleave it! I don’t what’s worse that they just gave the spot to someone else or the lies. But one thing is for sure never book via the telephone because you can’t trust it!!!

Payed 66$ for two adults and two small kids.
80$ if we wanted to voew the beach. Way to much compared to others in the surrounding.
Facilities were clean but quite old.
There are many things for kids to play with, so this is a main plus. Also the beach is just accross.

Wow! I’ve camped all over America and have never been in a park this clean.
It was IMMACULATE! Kitchen was spotless. Bathrooms were well appointed and CLEAN. Water pressure was twice what I get at home and super hot. No mildewed shower curtains that have been hanging for years. No hair stuck to the walls and clogging the drains. No smelly water that you press your eyes and lips closed and hold your breath for while you shower. No feeling dirtier somehow, when you get out then when you went in.
And you can’t ask for a more beautiful view. Beach access is a two minute walk from your site. If that.
The guy at reception was so friendly and accommodating.
I can’t say enough good things about this place!

Right on a gorgeous beach that you can swim in! Bathrooms need some minor maintenance but are clean non the less and fantastic no-timer hot showers. Kitchen was in good condition and clean and a great way to meet people! We had some lovely people leaving us with some free cooking goods as they were finishing up! Two great areas to sit and relax in with a great breeze coming through. Only down side was there was not much shade cover or any for us in our tent.

Waterfront sites under shady trees.
We stayed here for our first night in the motorhome after picking it up at the airport. Not too far out of town so made a useful first stop to get acquainted with the RV. Very helpful lady on the counter explained benefits of Top 10 membership. Top 10 were not the cheapest, but we found a high standard of facilities so membership discount helped. Lots of permanent vans in this park so expect it will be busy in NZ holiday times but was just great when we visited in September. Nothing between the sites and the sandy beach but a bike path and a narrow strip of grass and low bush.

Nice park, just extremely overpriced, even in relation to caravan parks at Bay of Islands.
We paid $10 for a 1 year old and they didn't even have a change table. He doesn't even use a toilet so not sure what we were paying for! Would keep driving next time and find a park that doesn't charge for an infant.

We stayed one night and found the site really great.
Nice clean facilities and a powered site close to the beech.
Although due to the rainfall the area has had, the site was a little damp underfoot. Good value for 4 people.

Large holiday park but very nice and well maintained.
Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities excellent - large kitchens and shower blocks, very clean. Right next to the beach, which is good for walking and swimming, and a 10 min walk to the town itself which is nice and has everything you would need.
Stayed here twice either end of a trip around Northland - very convenient location for this! Powered site, $40 per night, pretty standard for North Island.
Would definitely recommend.
