    Location was INCREDIBLE!

Small parking spaces but plenty of space in surrounding camp ground, very picky about how you keep your pet but still very grateful for it being pet “friendly” , kitchen was AWESOME! Best one we have seen yet, bathrooms were clean but just small, couldn’t find unisex shower to share, only one shower in each gendered bathroom so one of us had a run in with waiting to shower but over all a cute little spot with heaps of tuis singing in the evening and when you wake up

We stayed here when it was pouring rain all day.

While we couldn’t take advantage of the activities in Hihi Beach, we appreciated the warm welcome and refuge from the storm. Great facilities and dog friendly. We will be back in fairer weather!

Is a good site in terms of cleanliness.

Fab camp kitchen and free hot showers. We just didn’t find the owners particularly welcoming or friendly and also thought it was a shame they packed us in so closely together in one part of the campsite when they could have quite easily spread people around more and given more privacy. With only one toilet block open (3 toilets and 1 shower in the women’s) it felt very cramped.

A beautiful camp on the bay, incredible views, we had the best site right by the gate, the dump station and power and water, couldn’t ask for better.

Toilets nice and clean and management obliging and friendly.

$38 a night for two with NZMCA discount.

Oh we will most certainly go again.

Stayed in tents there for a week.

The best campground we've come across...great spot, very clean, good private sites set amongst native vegetation available. Hosts were helpful and unobtrusive. Thanks for a great holiday; we'll be back.

A tidy little campground in a sleepy little beachside location, close to the world famous Mangonui fish and chip shop and right next to the beach.

The owners were friendly and welcoming and the amenities were in excellent condition and very clean. Showers are free and unmetered. There is apparently a rec room of some kind but it was locked up while we were there.

    Nice little spot.

Probably very packed in summer. The beach seemed very dirty, fish heads and bones everywhere. Charged us also for our infant, so it was 59 for two adults, one 5 year old and a baby. Not worth so much money, especially with no playground and recreation room locked all the time.

This was a lovely peaceful site with great access to the beach across the road with beautiful sunsets.

Facilities were immaculate. Only slight issue was that the WiFi didn’t seem to connect well.

Nice location right opposite the (rocky) beach of Doubtless Bay.

Staff were very friendly and facilities very clean. Kitchen is large and well equipped including pots, pans and plates.

Only point to improve is limited privacy on powered sites since right next to each other without any greenery in between.

Absolutely lovely place to spend some time.

The facilities were first class, the grounds immaculate and the proximity to the beach and sunsets topped it all off. Good base to do day trips around Doubtless Bay.
