    Beautiful location overlooking the bay.

Level and well maintained grass pitches. Two large toilet/shower blocks, two laundry areas and a large kitchen area with several electric hobs, kettles and toasters. All areas were clean. Showers are coin operated ($1) but we couldn’t get hot water. Also the hobs we tried were very slow to heat so ended up using our campervan gas hob. Cash only.

Beautiful spot, fairly remote but worth the effort to get here.

Right on the edge of a beautiful beach. $40 for a powered site for two. $1 for the showers.

Great campground with full kitchen set up and laundry room.

Bathrooms were clean and showers were hot. When I was there I was tenting and it was pouring rain, so I slept in the kitchen floor to save myself from the rain/wind. Amazing beachfront views and friendly staff! I paid $18 for my 1 night stay.

Beautiful property well maintained with clean facilities.

Would not hesitate to stay again and for longer. Dog friendly and it was great meeting other campers. Beautiful views and easy beach walking. Sunrises and sunsets were stunning.

Gate was closed and closed signs at the office, but campers were inside and mentioned they were open.

    Price is higher than advertised.

    We loved it!

Really quiet and few people only- right by a private beach! Very clean. Nice owner who showed us around and always was there if needed.

Spectacular beach with campsites right on the water.

Friendly welcome, clean, modern bathrooms. Worth the drive off of the beaten path. Our only negative is the very basic kitchen ( no toaster, no microwave) so be prepared. Facing the beach, walk past the headland at the right at low tide to find a deserted black sand beach. Heavenly!

Intended to stay but just an open field with no shade and old caravans stored.

Only cash as no credit cards accepted and manager not helpful. Went down the road to Puriri which was excellent!

Lovely venue, $20 a night pp for unpowered so not inline with the rankers price advertised.

Also wouldn’t let me come back and have a shower after my day at the beach ☹️

Beach fantastic great for fizz boats and kayaking as semi protected by a line of rocks good toilets but showers are 3.5 mins for $1.Kitchen poor, only sinks and hot plates no kettles or toasters or fridge

. The fridge is the main problem as the site is so remote keeping food fresh is difficult and the shop has little. Sites very close with little shade.

This site has very good facilities and is right on the beaches – Bland Bay to the NE and Tuparehuia to the SW.

We found the management to be friendly and hospitable management. Good dump and fill facilities. Showers $2 / 4 mins.

Just the most stunning location EVER!

The view, the silky sand, the fishing, the peacefulness, MAGIC actually not really wanting to share too much so it won't become popular ha! Camp wonderful ...went Early Oct 2015 so empty (which we loved) had the whole place to ourselves! Toilet and hot showers all extremely clean and new highly recommend. Managers such nice helpful lovely people ....you need to take loads of supplies as no shops in the area ....30 mins each way to nearest dairy. Shop on site with basics probably more stocked in summer peak season. No BBQS available so take a portable one! Other than that enjoy the ocean view, quiet, untouched natural beauty of this paradise a bit like being on an island. We had a camper perfect for that! Cant wait to get back here!
