Getting there

The track begins at Opito Bay, 13 km from Kerikeri. A sign near the boat ramp marks the access way, which leads between houses and enters the Ake Ake Historic Reserve.

Description

A loop track leads to a small beach in the Te Puna Inlet and to a pa site on Tareha Point with spectacular views.

Two beaches nearby provide perfect opportunities for swimming and relaxing.
