Loved this park.
One of my favourites in the North Island. Loads of trails (probably need more than a day to see them all), very well marked and signed.

Nice walk through a geothermal landscape close to Taupo.
The walkways are mostly brand new and guarantee an easy walk. $8 is fair for what you get. Nice staff, welcoming you, clean toilets and a sweet gift shop.

Nice walk for $8, very welcoming people at the entrance.
It is a 45 minute walk in the centre of many volcanic activities. But not so impressive for us after other places in South America.

The price is okay ($8), it is interesting to see the fumeroles, the walkway/path is very well maintained, but on the whole nothing extraordinary.

Prices are correct, $8, cheap compared to other activities!
The place is great. It is very impressive to see all the fumeroles and to hear mud bubbling. Good explanation as well.

It does not look like a moons environment and unfortunately we had hot weather there so we saw just holes, quite boring.

Good little walk.
There are better free walks in Rotorua, but if that's not possible then this is good.

Nice facilities and a well maintained board walk.
Cheap, but not too interesting and a nice option for those staying in Taupo or passing by.

If you had never seen any form of geothermal activity before, then it may be of some interest, but unfortunately a few scattered steam vents and holes in the ground does not justify an entrance fee.

Just some steam coming out of the ground and some bubbles of mud.
Not worth the money! You can see the same steam and water for free near Kerosine Creek and swim in it.
