Both representatives were informative, friendly and very helpful.
No issues with the campervan except the gas ran out which was a little frustrating as it we were in a town the could refill it.

Responsive, informative and friendly communication and service from Tony and his team. Superb vehicle (Imala 720). Travelled Nelson to ChCh, 6 nights via the West Coast & Haast Pass with 2 adults and 2 under 5's.

Booked Britz campervan online with Discovery Motorhomes.Discovery Motorhomes answered within 24 hours any of my follow up emails with further questions that I had.
Dealt directly with Britz apon arrival and they were great.
Only thing is that Discovery Motorhomes said I could add on an awning but on arrival Britz informed me that the make of van does not facilitate an awning.

We hired our camper van from Discover NZ again this year because we had such a good experience with them last year.
They didn’t disappoint. We had a few minor issues with the van (brake lights went) but they were fixed very quickly and the communication with Tony was fast and efficient. The collection and delivery of the van was simple and very well organised. We would highly recommend them.

The van was great with all the facilities provided, a real pleasure to go along for this trip.
As mentionned in the website, no fees to be paid when returning the van. Company highly recommended.

What a fabulous company!
My mum and I have just hired one of the 2 Berth Campervans from Discover NZ for a two week tour of the South Island and had a great time. The vans are superb quality - they're so well designed, clean and well-cared for and Discover NZ provide all the essentials for your trip - bedding, towels (bath and tea towels), kitchen utensils... But that's what you'd expect from any campervan hire company.
What Discover NZ do on top of that really puts them head and shoulders above the rest. I dealt with Tony for the booking and Ayreal for the pick up/drop off and was in touch now and again throughout the trip for quick queries about the van (nothing major at all, the van worked perfectly well throughout the whole trip) and they were both so incredibly polite, helpful and were always there for us. They provide such tailored and friendly customer service, it's brilliant. Ayreal picked us up and dropped us off at our apartment in Christchurch which was a huge benefit for us, especially since we could use the drive to pick her brains for her great tips and recommendations for our trip!
This is all done for an excellent value for money price. So glad I came across them for this trip! Discover NZ comes highly recommended from me - it's the additional customer service you look for when choosing something like this, and Discover NZ absolutely championed that! I'll definitely be sending any friends heading of to NZ campervan holiday in their direction and if (/when!) I go back I'll definitely be picking up the phone to Tony again.

Shit service booked a campervan and then we went into lockdown change the dates didn’t hear nothing from them for one year no emails nothing until they tried taking money out at which stage it was too
late lost our deposit and wouldn’t let us change the dates again do not use them

Price was good compared to other companies and pickup was really easy, however, the vans are old and need looking after and updating.
When it rains, it leaks and our bedding got wet.

Cant speak highly enough of the service we received from both Tony and Eddie.
They answered our few calls promptly and were really helpful and supportive. Our motor home was fabulous- everything we needed and not too squeezy for 4 adults. It was great to have a separate shower next to toilet. We absolutely loved our 12 days hire for North Island. Thankyou.

This is a great company to deal with.
The 2 berth van was in very good condition and well appointed. It certainly was easy to drive and handled the step climbs we encountered with ease. The only criticism (& it's minor) was that the pillows provided were very cheap ones and not very comfortable.
Leigh at the Christchurch depot was very friendly and looked after us very well. The van wasn't quite ready for us when he picked us up from our hotel, so he drove us to the nearest supermarket for us to stock up on the groceries we wanted to purchase.
This was our first time having a camper van holiday and our positive experiences mean we will probably do further such holidays. Thank you, Discover NZ.

No hassle on pickup. Great van. Extra bedding not a problem. Nothing is broken in the van, everything works as it is supposed to.

Very clean and economical. Really enjoyed travelling around both islands in it. Would definitely recommend them!
