This is a gallery dedicated to modern art and photography.
It does not have any specific relevance to Christchurch. Despite its deep collection of Canterbury art, especially by graduates of Cant School of Art, it shows very little that reflects this rich history.

Really enjoyed the visit although the art was not really my cup of tea!!
Building is beautiful.

Helpful staff. I went there twice because I liked it so much. There is art for everyone. I preferred Pop/Op Art and sculptures.

The gallery displays a nice mixture of modern art and art showing New Zealand's history.
Lovely to go to on a rainy afternoon.

It is located very centrally in a new modern building. Admission is free.
