Things are not only a bit vague, this is an absolute scam.

After we dropped the car off at the airport and left the country it took 7 MONTHS, a lot of help from local friends and a police investigation for us to get our bond back.

The NZ tax department is after them now so i wouldn't rent a car with them anymore.

Keep your eyes open for other cheap rental options as i know for a fact that these same owners operate under different names as well.
