I rented a trailer for two days and a truck for a day.

On the day I was returning the trailer I called the company asking to deliver the trailer a bit later and pick up the truck a bit earlier so I wouldn't need to make two trips. The person on the line said it would not be a problem. However, when I returned the trailer they decided to charge me for an extra day and didn't ask to charge the credit card. They are not reliable. The truck was not ready to pick up; the moving pack was never ready and I had to buy gear myself; there was no introduction about how thge truck works, I actually had to go to the garage myself to pick it up (the person responsible for grooming the cars had to take us to the truck as there was no one in the reception to attend us - she made an awesome service trying to help us as she could); tried to call them to ask details to fill up the truck and they never answer the phone. If you go to Usave expect to have a horrible service and the possibility of overcharges.

I called to book a truck on a monday for the following friday and asked the width of the cab so i knew clearance on driveway.

I advised i needed one for this date and they said it wouldnt be a problem.They did not know the width and had to go measure and would return my call. I called everyday for a week and they didn't call back once nor did they get the details. 7 days after i made the first call i got the measurements and advised i would like to book, they then advised it was not available. I patiently waited and missed out because of their poor service. Will not use them again as i missed out on securing a moving truck and other hire companies were then booked as well!

I am Australian and have visited Auckland numerous time over many years and have always rented a car from Usave car rental each time.

I have found this car rental company to offer excellent service each time. I have had no problems with them ever. The service is excellent and the staff are very hospitable, efficient and courteous. The company offers good value and you are promptly picked up from the airport terminal on arrival and dropped off at the terminal on your departure. The Usave depot is only minutes from the airport terminal and so it is very convenient. You simply make a free call to Usave on arrival and they will pick you up within minutes and likewise drop you off when you depart. I would highly recommend Usave to anyone.

Outstanding service from initial booking to final airport drop-off.

Excellent well maintained vehicle and all of the optional extras we needed - roof racks, bike racks, child seats and a chilli bin! The Christchurch staff went out of their way to help us on numerous occasions - definitely above and beyond. Highly recommended.

Rented a car for a week with this company at the end of January.

The people were friendly and helpful. However, we paid a bond of $500, which we never got back. We have emailed the company a number of times with no response. On top of this, the brakes were pretty terrible and on the first day we drove the car, within 20 minutes of driving we had a flat tyre. They fixed it for us, but there were no signs of puncture, instead the mechanic admitted the tyre was worn out. Overall, extremely disappointed with our experience here, the price and faults of the car would have been fine for the original price we were told, however with the price being an extra $500 on top, we could have had a much better car at another rental business. They haven't given us any reason as to why they aren't giving the bond back. We delivered the car back with no damage or scratches, just like we picked it up. Extremely disappointed, and a massive rip off, don't rent from this business, do not recommend.

So you call and ask about a furniture trailer rental one way and they give you a price.

Then when you go to book it I’m told that they don’t do a one way rental. Unbelievable and extremely frustrating. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PLONKERS!!

The woman at the counter was really rude since the beginning.

she was answering calls all the time instead talking to me, so we spend like half an hour to do the check in (something you can do in 5 minutes and i was in a hurry. its the only company who ask you to write your card details in a paper so they can charge whatever they want. At the end, i called them to say i was gonna be a bit late. She said dont worry its all good, you pay by quarter a day, she was not very clear. so when we arrived she said no, you are 4 hours late so you have to pay another rental day and another insurance, was very rude. My only bad experience renting cars around the world. And also the car was not in good condition. I can recommend a lot of companies but definitely not this one.

Was a pleasure doing business with Usave Auckland, espeically after being mucked around so much by esy rentals around the conner!

Usave workers Hilary and Juan were positive, bubbly and just genuine people, they were our lifesavers that day! I am writing this review for people that want a fast efficient, no hidden cost and no drama service!! i highly recommend Usave Auckland! HILARY AND JUAN YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!
