Fantastic New Zealand experience with our van from Campa South rentals.
Pick up was easy with airport transfers included. Graham and Sue were just lovely people who really looked after us for the whole trip. The van was comfy, clean and worked perfectly for our south and north island adventures. We will be back and will be going with this lovely family run company!

Campa South Rentals were a brilliant company to rent a van for our travels around New Zealand.
The van was perfect for what we needed travelling almost 5000km. We had a very personal pick up experience with tips and recommendations on the route as well as well as how to live in the van which made our trip very easy. Would use again when we come back 🤞 thank you!

Me and my boyfriend rented the sleepervan for our trip throughout NZ.
De van had loads of packing space and is nice and cozy.
Susan and Graham are super nice, and really treat you like friends. When we had some trouble with the belt, they immediately helped us find the nearest place to let it get fixed. The entire trip we had the feeling that whatever happened, Susan and Graham would be there to help which is a great feeling for your trip!
We can only say we really recommend!

The van was awesome, clean and tidy, with all the home comforts you need for life on the road. I have hired a couple of times over the years from Campa South, so I highly recommend them for your NZ road trip!

Basically the only affordable renter that has good reviews.
And rightly so, our van (we had a budget hi-top) was old but in top shape. We had a great time with the van, no issues at all. There are no hidden fees or anything.
All in all a very pleasant experience!

Campa South is absolutely fantastic.
Graham and Susan are so friendly and helpful, they really go the extra mile to make your holiday perfect (in our case literally when they drove for hours in the late evening to bring us some stuff that we had forgotten ourselves). The campervan itself was very practical and perfectly suited to our needs. So, we were extremely happy that we chose Campa South and would definitely recommend them to everyone!

Renting a campervan with Campasouth was a great experience.
The campervan was in perfect condition and very well equipped for two people : linnen, outdoor table, chairs, duvet and blanket... Graham picked up us near the airport, he took the time to show us the van and we were also very well advised on our itinerary. They were very responsive by message and telephone when we needed more informations. Susan and Graham are amazing and they were very helpfull during the pandemic. We recommend Campasouth to everyone.

Based on the excellent reviews here at rankers we decided to hire our campervan for our 5 weeks NZ trip at Campa South Rentals.
And we were not disappointed! Already the communication during the inquiry process was friendly with detailed information.
Arrived in Auckland we picked up the campervan at their agent Kurt. The pick up was in Waiuku, southerly from Auckland. But this wasn't really a problem, since Kurt met us at the train station in Papakura. Kurt is from Switzerland originally. Therefore we could do all the paperwork and explanations concerning the campervan in German, which, for sure, made it for us much more comfortable. During our trip we just ones had a small software issue with the turbo charger. We called Graham and he promptly arranged an appointment at the next Toyota service station for us. After 1 1/2 hours we could pick up the campervan at the service station and the problem was solved for the rest of our trip.
While we parked our campervan in Wellington, we got a scratch on the left side. This was caused by the campervan next to us respectively the wind blew their door against our campervan. We informed Susan and Graham and exchanged all necessary data with the two ladies from the other campervan. At this point it was already sure that the insurance from the two ladies will pay for the damage. Nevertheless, after returning our campervan in Christchurch, we had to do some paperwok for the insurance. But with the support of Susan and Graham it wasn't a big issue.
Altogether we really enjoyed our NZ trip not least because we had a reliable and well equipped campervan. We definitely can recommend Campa South Rentals to everyone who looks for an individual and friendly support apart from the big rental car companies!

Hi Daniela. We're glad you enjoyed yourselves and we're glad to say that the dent in the side of the camper is sorted and the insurance has paid fully. You got your deposit back in full as we predicted.
Like our web site says, we have one of the best insurance policies in the business with the lowest excesses. There was never a doubt that the other party was at fault and we were confident it would work out.

We rented a budget high-top campervan from CampaSouth.
We were very happy with the van. The inside is very comfortable and practical, with a fridge and small freezer, tap with runnig (cold) water, and microwave (that only works if you are in a powered campsite). Everything worked properly, we didn't have any problems, even though we rented the older type. Don't expect the newest most modern van, but you get a very cosy and functional home for a fair price!
The owners of the company are very friendly, easy to reach by phone and very helpfull to explain things about the van, but also to give other information about traveling in New Zealand (weather forecast apps, information about the ferry, etc).
I would definetely recommend CampaSouth and the budget high-top campervan!

We rented our van from Graham and Susan March 3rd.
We had to cut our trip short (Covid). First, the van was well set up and very clean. It was a 2002 Toyota Hi Ace high milage but ran perfectly with great mileage. Everything in the van worked perfectly, was well equipped for cooking and the linens and extra blankets were appreciated. Graham and Susan went out of their way to pick us up at the airport and bring us back more then a few times when we had flights cancelled. We would recommend them highly without reservation. We had such an amazing experience with Campa South Rentals.
This is a small family run business so they always have your best interests at heart and we felt really looked after (even Jaffa the dog helped)! The vans are unmarked so very subtle compared to other companies which we loved. We got a small crack in our windscreen during our trip, Graham quickly responded and helped us sort the damage which he then reimbursed us for.We were so pleased with the van and service, really recommend!

Super family run business with excellent customer service.
The van, although an older model, had everything we needed for a 2 week break. Nothing to fault. If we need to a hire a camper van in Christchurch in the future then Campa South Rentals will definitely be our first choice.
