There is much to see, but museum was without a clearly recognisable pattern.

Nice non-living exposition (history, nature) and amazing kiwihouse with native animals including geckos, skinks, fish, kiwi and morepork.
Great for rainy days!!

Good to actually see a kiwi.
The museum gave insight into the history of Whangarei but it was raining too hard for us to explore the outside exhibits.

We did not see the kiwi because it was sleeping although we were there at 3pm.
The exhibition behind was quite informative, also the Bird's house. But for this information about the Kiwi, we paid too much entrance fee.
