We went on the guided alpine crossing.
The experience was priceless. All gear required for winter crossing was supplied, we sled down the snow whenever possible, awesome guides and cool driver. The best part was the can of beer that was waiting for us at the end of the walk! Absolutely fantastic!!

Our bus transfer from the finishing point to the starting point was on time so far and on the way we got useful instructions about the track (what to do and what not).
Also a very good map like information sheet.

We had exactly the same experience as Julieth Peter.
I have nothing to add.
This is the most EXPENSIVE service and THEY LEFT US ALONE.
Please don't choose them.

We booked the Tongariro Crossing shuttle service provided by 'Tongariro Expeditions' on 21 April.
Instead of 7am (scheduled), we left Whakapapa Village by 7.50am and hit the track by 8.15am. The friendly bus driver told us to be at the end of the crossing no later than 4.30pm. After climbing Mt. Ngauruhoe (highly recommended), we walked straight to the car park at the end of the crossing. We were 15 mins late and the bus had already left. We asked Scotty Barry (bus driver Tongariro expeditions, going to Taupo) where our shuttle bus is or what options we have to get back to Whakapapa Village. Instead of offering us any help he answered in a very rude and unfriendly way, informing us that the bus had left and that he can't help us. After that, he turned around and left.
Fortunately, a very friendly guy from Roam (shuttle service) gave us a free lift back to Whakapapa village.
With an hour delay in the morning, we would have expected to get at least an extra hour for the hike. In that case, we would have arrived on time easily!

They are more expensive than other companies from Taupo ($55) and other Companies charging only $45!
Made me angry afterI booked and found out later! 1 1/2 hour busdrive before you can start walking. Turangi would be better to stay and closer to track or National Park Village! Busdriver was friendly on way up. I twisted my angle and was running 1/2 hour late and the bus was gone! !!!!! I was still up there and nedded to find my own way home! What a company!! Never book with them!!!
