We had beautiful weather, friendly crew, met some lovely people, all this made our trip great.

The captain spent plenty of time going back and forwards when viewing the carvings so everyone could get photos, ours are fantastic.

Very interesting trip well worth the money. (one of the cheapest cruises I have been on)

We chose the Ernest Kemp Cruises who provided an excellent service, however, it is a lot of money for what you get to see.

I wish I had spent my money on something better.

A boat trip to the Maori Rock Carvings.

With free drinks and free snacks. It was okay, but as a vegetarian hardly anything to eat. You have to be early to have a good spot to sit. The swimming in the lake was short but nice.

Cheeky, nice skipper, free tea, coffee and cookies and a lovely boat.

It is a nice two hour trip with the view of Mt Tongariro from the lake!

Nice boat trip and interesting, quite large rock carvings.

A bit disappointing to learn that the carvings are from 1972, not quite historic.....

    Very interesting 2 hours.

Skipper gave lots of info about the Lake and the various places along the shore. The carvings are well worth the trip and it is always good to be out on the water.

My family and I traveled to taupo today, it was in celebration for my son Pounamu 7th birthday, and it was his choice that he wanted to go on a boat cruise on the lake, so i booked yesterday being good

friday and got tickets for four kids and four adults on the phone i had only mentioned that we were going to be travelling to Taupo in the morning and that it was for my son's birthday so i would not be able to confirm how many adults would be attending,,, on arrival for the 10.30 cruise the skipper had asked my son if it was his birthday today, he then asked me to come up the front of the boat and showed me they had a bag of lollies and a gift i was overwhelmed with that and so was all my family,, on the cruise we got to share his bag of lollies with all the people and he got chips to share with his friends!!! the skipper and the deck hand lady were AWESOME I GIVE THIS CRUISE A BIG THUMBS UP, for making my sons day soo special and for singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him.... IT WAS AN AWESOME CRUISE AND WOULD DO IT ALL AGAIN!!! all the kids think they have got there skippers licence now they got certificates!!! THANK UZ SOO MUCH!!!

Went out with daughter and her partner + one tourist ,with Only the captain on board,NO crew ...All ok as we went out ,But nearing the bay before the carvings the lake become Very Very choppy ,the boat

lurched badly ,dipped and swayed ,Very frightening ,the captain stopped talking ,and still headed for carvings ,by which time it was Unpleasant to say the least as the boat lurched sideways and dipped downwards .most frightening experience we have been on ...The captain should have turned around and headed back ,instead he headed out to middle of lake ,with More tossing about ,Thankfully it become a little calmer ,yet there was no forthcoming apology ,and he then slowed right down so that he did his 2 hrs,no shown concern for those of us tossed and Banged about..Had we had to get the life jackets which where on top of the boat instead of inside the cabin it would have been disastrous...On getting back He said as we alighted hope you had a pleasant trip !!! ....When I said It was Rather rough he laughed and said that was nothing ! "yes will I suppose he wasn't the one being chucked about and hanging on for dear life in a open cabin area !!!! ..

We where Also Charged $35 each for the trip ,Yet the Add for said trip states $30 and when my daughter pointed this out the Woman told her No its actually supposed to be 40 ,but today's special "yeah right! .....Wont ever recommend these People to anyone again ,they have No apathy for their customers .....

Wasn't too bad - but too long without a lot to see for the cost.

Seem to pad out cruises to justify the cost.
