It was a very short ride, but we had a nice view! And we walked back through the Botanic Gardens, that was a nice walk.

Funny little ride uphill.
Takes only a couple of minutes. Nice view of Wellington along the way. Still too expensive so take a one way ticket and walk back downhill through the Botanical Gardens which are really pretty!

A nice and easy way to get up to the botanical gardens, at the top there is a beautiful lookout with stunning views of Wellington.

Nice little museum about the history of the cable cars in Wellington, old cable car to sit on and lots of information.

The botanical gardens are nice at the top. Also, the views are quite nice.

Nice views, though not as good as those from Mt Victoria.
Too expensive for such a short trip. The best part is reaching the Botanical Gardens.

A nice idea but underwhelming experience given what it costs.
A significant amount of money to travel a very small distance. However, there is a novelty factor attached.

Great thing to do in the city as it ends at the Botanical Gardens which overlooks the city and harbour.
Great novelty and awesome light display in tunnels currently. Suggestion: get a one way ticket and then walk down through the gardens to the city.

Walk to the Cable Car and then up to the Botanic Gardens and back to the city to catch the ferry.
Walk around 1/2 to 1 hours. Nice lookout over the city.
