Was quite okay, not too special.
Small boat, not very crowded.
Free coffee.
Smaller, a bit of an older boat - but more cosy.

Chose Mitre Peak Cruises because they have a smaller boat and certainly was not dissapointed.
Less people meant it was easier to get around and get that perfect picture. Based on what the other larger boats were doing we went further out of the Sound and got much closer to waterfalls and wildlife. Commentary from the Captain was very entertaining and informative. If you are looking for a cruise company, pick these guys.

We did the tour at 4:30pm, less people, small boat, around 30 people, space for 75, funny skipper (entertaining), got very close to the seals as the boat is so small.

It was a small boat with just 25 people (much less than other boats).
Although the weather was not perfect, the Milford Sound was beautiful.

This cruise would be very good on a clear day.
We had a cloudy day and did not see anything. Waterfalls were good though.

They go further into the Sound than other companies and give good information about wildlife and nature.

We picked the 8:55am cruise as it is $10 cheaper and we camped at Milford Sound.
The weather was not great: raining and foggy so it was not great to start but it cleared up afterwards. The boat was one of the small ones which was good to take pictures and see everything. We came really close to the seals and the boat stayed long enough for us to take videos and pictures. Great experience but better when sunny and clear.

Went right up close to the waterfalls, very informative staff and saw dolphins. Tad expensive for the length of cruise.

Great operator and nice crew, who turned an overcast and chilly day into a great experience.
Did not get to see the top of the peaks, but plenty of wildlife - seals, dolphins, and a couple of Fiordland penguins.
Ship is quite small, but there's plenty of space to move about. Back on shore, we looked at the crowded, "tourist factory" ships from other companies, and we thought we really had made the right choice.

We took the last vessel going out at 4.30pm.
Less people and tourist buses were gone. It is a very touristic place which distracts a little bit from the beauty and mystery of this site. But still beautiful.

A really good tour which allowed us to experience the beautiful Milford Sounds close up.
The boat allowed plenty of room for everyone to be above board, despite being small. Staff were really friendly and informative. Very punctual and reasonably priced. Free tea and coffee which is always a bonus!
