The absolute best!
We rented a campervan from Mitchell and Kerry for three months and had an amazing experience, both in terms of the quality of the vehicle, pricing and the customer service.
I would recommend Nomad Campervans to anyone looking to explore New Zealand and they really are the best in the business as they’re a family run company, they really go the extra mile to make sure you have a great time.
I’ve rented campervans in New Zealand more than once and having found Nomad Campervans, I know who to call for my next trip.

Absolutely fantastic family owned and run company—we rented from them during Covid, vehicle was perfect and we got a lot of personalised advise and support and the price was more than fair.
They also really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and were just so kind and lovely. I would not hesitate to rent with them again.

I feel lucky that my friend and I hired a campervan from Nomad.
We got to travel the South Island with "Goose" for 4 weeks and had an amazing time. Mitchell is super helpfull, whenever we had a question (this was the first time we ever traveled with a campervan) we could just text/call and we got an answer straight away.
When my friend had to leave early because of covid-19 Mitchell helped me to get back to Auckland in a way I would've never expected from a rental company (I mean that in the best way possible).
If I ever have to rent a campervan again, I hope they have something available!

We rented 'Bailey', a high-top VW for about 7 weeks going all the way to the south of the South Island.
The campervan and the service we received fom Mitch, were excellent in all respects. The vans tend to be older but very well looked after. The absence of branding was really appreciated. Mitch really cares about his campers and your holiday. In all dealings with him, we found him easy to deal with, extremely generous with his time and completely honest and reliable. Mitch and Kerry were a key part of what our trip to NZ so wonderful

We rent the VW T5 Kea Pop Top called „Westy“ for 6 Weeks.
We totally fell in love to Westy and it was hard to say goodbye! The comfort of this vehicle is all around! Because the Pop Top roof you’re more aerodynamic than the higher cars and with the automatic 6 speed transmission makes driving in NZ easier and you use less gasoline. The Interior is very cozy with wooden furniture and lots of space for everything! Frontseats are very comfortable and are able to rotate for sitting in opposite to each other. We slept except one time in the rooftop bed. Very cool and you don‘t need to rearrange everything befor you’re going to sleep.
Kerry picked us up at our hotel in Auckland and we drove to their home. We met Mitchell and he offer a wonderful Capuccino. The Green family is at the beginning very personable and absolutely friendly!
After we got to know each other he explained everything about NZ roads and the car. They drove with us to the gas station and supermarket to see if we‘re able to deal with NZ roads;-)
NZ roads are very rough and sometimes something unexpected happens. But don‘t worry, they‘ll stay all the time by your side and make sure you’re not feeling alone. Mitchell and Kerry are such lovely people and take care of you! Something that you haven‘t at the bigger rental companies!
We highly recommend Nomadnz and would rent Westy every time again! Thank you very much to help us realizing our dream and make NZ to a special place!

Nomad is the company you want to book your camper in NZ with!
It is family owned and operated and we appreciated that in every step of the experience with Nomad from open questions we had prior booking until the day of return.
Pick-up/ Drop-off locations are in Auckland and Christchurch which allows for a "one-way-trip" what we liked.
VW campervan was amazing and you have a local experience as their is no branding on the campervan at all.

Mitchell really is a the perfect person to hire a motorhome from.
From the day he picked us up from the airport he made us feel part of his family. He made us a barista coffee back at his home/office and went through the paper work and all the details of the vehicle so we knew everything before we headed off on our 3 week journey with the T5 4Motion VW Transporter named 'Dale'. As Mitchell has worked on these vehicles in the off session, he knows everything from top to bottom. The motorhome was faultless from start to finish and we were approached daily by travellers who were wondering where we hired 'Dale' from due to the quality of his appearance. We will not hesitate to hire from Mitchell at Nomad Campervan Rentals in the future. Gary and Anne

If you're going to live for a month or more in a campervan on the other side of the world, you don't want spend your time worrying about what will happen if your van breaks down; and peace of mind on this
score is exactly what you get from Mitchell Greene and Nomad Campers. From his reassuring answers to all your questions before the trip, to the warm welcome at his Auckland home, and his helpfully relaxed attitude when you almost miss your plane, you really feel that Mitchell has your back and will be there for you in an emergency. Luckily I didn’t have to call on him, because my van Noo, although no spring chicken, happily handled everything that the New Zealand roads could throw at her on a 5000 km tour of North and South Islands: steep hills, endless bends, unsurfaced roads, a coating of salt on the Interislander ferry, the lot. And the journey was made all the more enjoyable by the goody bag (including SIM card!) Kerry provided. It still goes with me on campervan trips back home, though sadly without the Whittaker’s chocolate.
So if you’re wondering whether you can really believe all the rave reviews you’ve read about Nomad, I can tell you from my experience that they’re all true. And I can’t wait to go back.

We traveled 5 weeks through NZ with the Goose, one of the campervans of Nomand Rentals.
And this was an experience that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we met the owners it felt more than good to travel with a van of this company. Mitchell, Kerry and their kids made us feel very welcome. They really want you to have an awesome time in NZ and they want you to experience the relaxing vibe of the country.They take all the time to get you started and give a lot of confidence by, for example, not counting a deposit. Something we never experienced before.
When during this trip, we had some problems, Mitchell was available at any time and always responded within a few minutes . He certainly took care of us and thought along with us for a solution. of the problem. We were even treated to a dinner as compensation for the inconvenience. All in all, we enjoyed traveling with the Goose very, very much and we certainly hope to be able to do that again. So Mitchell and Kerry, keep it up and good luck with your wonderful company

I hired a campervan from Nomad for just over two weeks, and would highly recommend them to everyone!
It's a proper family business - Mitchell and Kerry were incredibly friendly and made sure that our trip got off to the best possible start, picking us up from our hotel personally and making sure that we were absolutely familiar with the vehicle we were renting. They pay really good attention to the maintenance of their fleet, and it really shows - We rented "Noo" (one of the VW 2+1 hightops) for just over 2 weeks, and it started like a top every single time, and ran absolutely impeccably throughout our journey. The welcome pack they put together for us was really thoughtful and just made an already enjoyable experience that much sweeter (quite literally - the couple of bars of Whittaker's went down a real treat!). But perhaps what made the experience most enjoyable of all was the general feeling of trust - these are genuine, honest people who clearly want to make sure that you have the best holiday that you can rather than trying to make a fast buck.
Choose to go with Nomad - you absolutely won't regret it!!

Absolutely super amazing experience.
It is a small family owned business which takes very good care of their vans and customers. Mitchell was extremely helpful with everything. And our van Dale didn't disappoint. One big advantage over other van rentals is that there are no stickers or anything that points out that it is a rental.
I can highly recommend this company and will 100% return to Nomad when I return to NZ.

We cannot recommend Nomad Campervan rentals highly enough!
Mitchell and Kerry are the friendliest, most customer-centric people and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. We travelled, as a family with our 3 year old, around the North and South Island for a period of 2 months in Goose, a VW hightop. The vehicle was in perfect condition and had everything we needed (and more!). Nomad offers a number of special touches; a wonderful little goody bag, they were really flexible with the drop off and collection with transfers, they even threw in a children’s bicycle seat, and were readily available whenever we contacted them. We will definitely use Nomad again and we urge you to support this local family owned business- you won’t be sorry!

We spent 6 weeks of Feb and March on South Island and have nothing but praise for Nomad Campervan's and Mitchell Green.
There was a last minute hitch with the van we were expecting so we were provided with a temporary (but excellent) one for a few days before collecting the latest addition to the Nomad fleet........the virtually brand new Renault. An inspired choice of van for us, Mitchell's priority was making sure we had a van that suited and a great holiday. He was instantly contactable by phone and clearly has excellent relationships with the people he works with in Christchurch so we were really well looked after - what could have been a problem was no problem.
We certainly did have a fantastic holiday - Rufus the Renault was great, Nomad's were great and we have already booked again for next year (happy at the thought) - thank you! - Janet and Grahame.
