    I hired from Tauranga Airport branch.

    The email received prior to picking up with location details was clear. I booked a hybrid car and we received a Ford Puma that was only 4 months old. Great experience and we even received an email post hire to thank me for using them. I would recommend this company 100%. We took full insurance cover as it is not much more expensive than paying an excess and even though no damage was done it gave me peace of mind.

    Didn’t ask for a deposit but car was ready and waiting .

    Hired a car for 10 days

    No problems at all … process was easy .

    As always thoroughly inspect your car before leaving.

    And take photos.

    Would recommend this company.

    Hey guys I used this car rental company from.

    Gisborne. With in 5 to 10 mins I was on my way.

    It was that simple. good prices.

    2023 Outlander I was using was amazing.

    Quick in and easy company

    I truly rate them and will use in the future.

    Due to flight rescheduling and then a delay in landing in ChCh I didn’t arrive at the Ezi counter until after their closing time of 2am expecting them to be closed.

    However, the kind gentleman in attendance waited for me knowing I was on that late flight. I was very appreciative of him and thanked him very much for staying open. The booking process was very easy and his instructions on where to collect the car were good. The car was clean and after hours drop off was easy. I would definitely use this company again.

    we picked up from Ezi at Auckland Airport ..

    was an easy process .. ‘Sean’ was great to deal with, very friendly! and got us thru the paperwork and ready to go without any hiccups .. ps we had also been upgraded, at no extra cost, as the vehicle we had been allocated was not available .. win win … the pretty new vehicle was awesome and we will definitely use Ezi again!!!

    Our flight into Christchurch Airport from Brisbane was delayed.

    We had advised Ezi Car of our flight number when we booked, so imagine our horror when upon arrival we find the the place locked up with no one around and no alternate way to pick up our car. We ended up being stranded all night (not a pleasant experience for two seniors trying to sleep on an airport seat) and had to wait for them to reopen the next morning to get the car. My advice....do not use them

    A trip we were looking forward to so much.

    Disappointing- Non-Refundable rental contact

    My husband and father in law arrived into QT a day before us and so decided to pick the car a day earlier (8th April), even though the car rental booking was from 9th to 12th April. As they had the car available, my husband decided to take it earlier to avoid any delays when we were to arrive on 9th April.

    On 9th April, my kids and my cousin and I flew to QT, however with 2 unsuccessful attempts by the pilot to land, he decided it was safer to fly back to Auckland. A lot of other flights were cancelled, delayed and turned around that day due to the weather. On 9th April- check news on NZ Herald

    The great thing was we got full refunds from the airlines, the Car parking services at Auckland Airport and the hotel my husband checked out off 2 days earlier as well, due to the change in circumstances, knowing & understanding he couldn't stay in QT, without us being there with him on holiday.

    Unfortunately, the very tight rental car contract that Ezi car rentals follows, they were not willing to give us a refund for the 2 days we didn't use the car. They were not willing to even negotiate at any cost giving us the reason that their business would be geologised. I understand that and we would have at least appreciated coming to mutual grounds for deducting 1 day and refunding 1 day back to us, given it was nature preventing us from having our holiday.

    Very very disappointing for the kids and us overall not to have our holiday, but even more disappointing to know that EZI Car rentals will not budge or negotiate at all even if it isn't your fault.

    Unfortunately the Team leader in customer service is trained to just do her job and it is sad that she left me feeling even more upset during these times when things are difficult not just for a company, but also for families- and in our case not having the holiday at all and a loss of more than $300 overall.

    Stress fee pick up and drop off of vehicle.

    Price of rental was better then others I looked at. Vehicle was comfortable and in good condition. Staff were very helpful and friendly highly recommended.

    EXTREMELY BAD EXPERIENCE.

    Staff are very rigid and unhelpful.

    They searched for tiny scratches after you've returned car and claim that you have to pay for that - even you have purchased the full coverage insurance, as there is an excess of $4999NZD.

    They have withheld $1000NZD from my credit card because of this issue and said the repair will take 4-6 weeks so the money will be withheld until they got an invoice from the car repairing company.

    A very bad experience with this company.

    Avoid! Extortion on the costs compared with other car rental suppliers. We hired through this company as we wanted to hire kiwi and support local. Unfortunately we should have known better. At Christchurch airport we picked up the hire car on a quick trip to Queenstown. Unfortunately hidden in the fees was a car return drop fee of $600. We had expected a return fee of some reasonable amount but this turned out to be more than three times the amount of other competing companies such as Avis and hertz ($170-180) or even kiwi Omega who charge $0. Any explanation offered was basically reinforcing the exorbitant fees and no consideration given to travellers.

    Rental for 10 days, pick up in Wellington nz was easy.

    Drop off in Auckland was not as good. They closed the international Drop off location due to flooding but didn't advise us on the revised Drop off location. Luckily we had ample time as our flight was delayed.

    The worst part was getting billed a cleaning fee as we had stopped in rotorua for 3 days and apparently there was a slight odor from visiting the geothermal pools there.

    Just wanted to warn you not to use this company if you plan on visiting rotorua

    Tauranga Airport Office.

    Worst experience ever! they charged us with 600nzd for scratches in the bottom of the bumper (yes, hard to imagine) that we are 100% sure we did not cause. The toddler seat was not ready when we arrived even if we had paid for it in the reservation with anticipation. Pay a bit more and go with a reputable company! Definetly don't waste your money and time

    Absolutely awful experience from the team at Ezicar Queenstown airport!

    From the moment I dropped off the keys I was treated awfully.

    I have been hiring cars for 25years and usually when I drop off keys they ask if everything went okay and if I had a nice holiday.

    NOT BY THESE CROOKS - I was interrogated about the car and told to wait 10mins whilst the car was examined (even though my plane was boarding). When I queried this I was told it was because I hadn’t paid for the extra insurance!

    There is no extra insurance just a fee to discount the excess from $3000 to $500.

    They then went out of their way to show me a picture of a tiny ‘scratch’ on the underside of the bumper…. Incredibly this disappeared when my husband rubbed the dirt (scratch) off. Suddenly they found another one on the wheel arch. I was told that the repaint would be charged to my credit card!!!!

    We had not caused any damage and low and behold when we complained to head office discovered that this was an existing scratch!!!

    We were treated appallingly by very young adults that appeared to have a hidden agenda to belittle customers that would not be bullied into paying the excessive additional insurance.

    Over and over I was told this was necessary as I hadn’t paid the extra.

    In truth if the so called ‘damage’ was really there then I would have still had to pay as even with the additional extra payment $500 would still need to be forked out.

    The whole experience was awful I would definitely recommend avoiding this company at Queenstown airport. They managed to completely ruin my holiday.
