    I have hired a car from Letz on several occasions and every time the price has been excellent & the service from Julie (office manager) second to none.

    The cars have always been spotless & faultless.

    I was previously with Gate2NZ for many years who sold their database to Letz.

    The transition was seamless and I was very happy with my first experience with Letz. No change in service and efficiency. Thank you.

    Julie at Letz Rent a Car provided the best possible customer experience for us when recently celebrating our wedding in NZ.

    Nothing was too hard for her and she was so happy to help us, even with last minute requests, and an extension of the rental timeframe.

    Could not recommend Letz Rent a Car highly enough.

    The car was immaculate, the service absolutely amazing, Julie is friendly and helpful.

    She picked me up at the airport and dropped me back at the airport right outside the door. Thank you Julie for your wonderful service, I will definitely be hiring from you again when I next visit Auckland.

    Well, it seems the new management regime is working - I rented a people mover to assist when having family from over seas staying last month.

    6 of us plus luggage to tour around the North Island a bit and we were supplied with an upgraded version of a people mover which was comfortable and easy to manage. From the outset - the vehicle was clean and in good order mechanically as well as having a few unique "quirks" - plenty of cargo space as well as plenty of room for 6 adults. Courteous and efficient service from start to finish and a completely clear indication to call any time if anything occurred during our hire period.

    Thank you Letz for taking the stress out of the trip and making the limited time spent here more enjoyable.

    Totally agree with the first post on here.

    Also created this account just to spread the word on how bad this company is actually run and their disgraceful policies. We arranged to rent a car via a third party website which was fully prepaid at the time of booking. When we arrived at Letz, we were told the third party company had not informed them of the booking so we were given a Toyota Yaris that had no power and problems with acceleration. When I called to inform them that there was something wrong with the car, the 'manager' (as stated on his business card) said he would have the car we had actually paid for (Toyota Corolla) would be in the next day and that we could swap it. Called the next day to see if the car was in and the same guy said it had been booked out by the manager as he was on the phone to me. Was promised another car the following day. As we went to swap the Yaris for the Corolla, he was not in the office and we had to collect the keys from the hotel reception. Same situation when we dropped the car off, he wasn't in the office. Terrible service, and a manager that cannot tackle a problem head on?? Spend the extra and go with a more reputable company.

    Dear Emma, it certainly doesn't sound like you experienced great service from Letz. Thankfully the company is under new ownership and management this year (2015) and this type of service will be in the past. We are only a small company so sometimes our office is not manned but we now actively communicate with our customers to ensure that pick up and drop off times are managed to their satisfaction. If you are ever in Auckland in the future we would love it if you would like to experience the new level of service that Letz is offering our customers.     I created this account specifically to write this review, so hopefully no one else will be taken advantage of like I was by Letz Rent A Car.

    I made arrangements to rent a Holden Wagon for no small sum ($987.00 NZD). Yet, when my friend arrived to pick up the car he was given a Hyundai that sounds like a sewing machine whirring at high-rev, and clinks like it's about to break down. And it has NONE of the power of the Holden.

    When I called to see where the Holden was that I paid for, I was told that the Holden had been wrecked the day before. Except the day before was when I called to make the reservation, when the man confirmed the Holden was the car I would be getting. The man obviously didn't realize that I was the person he spoke with on the phone the day before. Unfortunately, the people at Letz apparently believe in the bait-and-switch technique. My suggestion: spend the few extra bucks and go with a reputable company.

The company is under new ownership this year (2015) and the previous Manager has moved on so there will not be a repeat of this bad service under the new management.
