We Hired a Camper from Tui and it was a magical week.
We didn’t get the camper we had originally hired but we were refunded the difference and given a slightly older camper with a bit of wear and tear on it. The van itself was Clean and seemed well serviced, oil levels and coolant were at proper levels and all other kitchen equipment was there and worked well. The collection could have been easier with a collection and return shuttle to and from the Airport. We Went for the Zero package for the insurance and it was a great piece of mind. The trip was magical and the van took us everywhere we wanted to go. Great staff at the office and a great experience all in all. Tui Freedon thanks for the memories

Hi. My wife and I rent a path finder for 14 days, it was the first time in camper van and in NZ so I was a bit anxious.
But Edward did the right things and said the right words to reassure me. Patiently, he took time to show me and explained to me how it works. The van was comfortable and well equiped, powerful enough to have good road trip every day. Thank you to Edward and the freedom campers team for the good time we had.

We had a very good experience with Freedom Campers.
With more than 3,800 km in 2 weeks, the camper never gave us any problems. There's enough space inside for 2 people and it's quite clean. Also, the staff is very friendly and we appreciated the warm welcome in Auckland for the check in and the warm goodbye in Christchurch!

If you choose Freedom Campers/TUI Campers despite the bad reviews, please do not be surprised if you get an old, leaky camper.
Where it after two days of heavy rain, the water pushes through the roof. We woke up to water drops falling from the ceiling of the camper. On this we immediately called the site in Christchurch. The phone calls we have made , have given the feeling that this problem is already known. We were not helped further. Replacing the camper would not ensure that this problem would not occur in the other camper, as all vehicles are very old. They said "the water would be pushed in by the wind through the vents in the roof".
I made videos it was all wet inside the roof which is covered with fils except to the vents which were dry. We had to use paper towels to suck as much as we could out of the ceiling. As the drips on the ceiling were increasing.
After further phone calls, with John the specialist for vehicles, it literally said. I have also traveled and such things happen, that is part of life. That was then too much! We had to buy a large tarp and expanders to secure it. We had to wrap the camper every evening, like a present and that for almost 4 weeks. We could not enjoy the feeling of vacation through this. In the interior, there was no more daylight due to the covering of the film and when cooking, the fumes from the food could only partially escape through the open sliding door. Of course, this did not make the situation any better and the mold that developed due to the high humidity in the camper got worse. In strong winds, the metal rakes were repeatedly banged on the window at night. So we could not sleep through this either. So we had to sleep in a moldy camper for 3 weeks, covering it every night and unpacking it every morning. We developed a cough due to these circumstances, the sinuses were also permanently closed. My advice at this point rather spend a little more money and save yourself the hassle and hassle. I can’t recommend it!

Rented a camper with for a week long road trip with some friends and found the company to be great.
Camper van worked well for us and the customer service was fantastic. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the campervan had everything we needed without any issues.

We have been renting one of Tui Camper's sleepervans for two weeks now, the best two weeks ever!
The staff was so helpful and gave us a warm welcome once we arrived, quick to respond our questions via email or by phone. The sleepervan was a great size for the two of us, we did a lot of freedom camping and it was awesome!

Wir können uns den annderen Rezensionen anschließen.
Leider mussten wir schon nach der ersten Nacht zurück in die Basis für einen Schaden an der Spüle.
Umweg, Kosten und Zeitverlust hat Niemanden von tui Camper interessiert - wertvolle Reisezeit ging verloren.
Mit dem Management wurde gesprochen, welches aber am anstehenden Nachmittag wohl Urlaub genommen und sich dem Problem nicht angenommen hat. Eine Vertretung in seiner Position in Christchurch gibt es nach Aussage des Managers nicht.
Der Zustand des Campers war kritisch. Uns wurde ein Camper in der Range 2008-2013 versprochen. Natürlich war es ein 2008 mit rostigem Kühlschrank und undichter Spüle. Karosserie stark beschädigt. Nach Swap-over wegen Wasserschaden bekamen wir wieder ein Modell 2008 mit selbigen starken Abnutzungen. Wir bezweifeln, dass es im Bereich Hightop gepflegte Modelle beim Anbieter gibt.
Bei den Autos ist aufjedenfall von der "Voll- Versicherung" abzuraten. Die Autoflotte ist im mangelhaftem Zustand.
Generell und nach Reiseerfahrung mit anderen Campern ist der Anbieter teuer.
Lediglich John ein Angesteller in Christchurch welcher wohl kurz vor ddm Ruhestand steht kriegt von uns den eknen Stern.

Booking the Camper was a breeze and took all of 5mins, all good however with the covid 19 situation causing a total breakdown of the reason for our travel!
No fault of mine or of Tui / freedom / Budget campers I required a cancellation and would be nice refund which they will give but with a cancellation fee of $100.00 removed from it for 5mins work. At least the airfares are being completely paid back in full and fairly, thank you jetstar! $100.00 is nothing short of theft for a service not provided! Freedom Campers I do not recommend to anyone, watch your dollars campers!
