We rented a kayak for a day, we started from Marahau and ended at Anchorage.

Paddled along the very scenic coast, watched seals in the morning. In the afternoon we walked 2 hours on the coast track.

My husband and I are 25 and we chose the half day tonga island kayak trip.
It was beautiful weather and our guide Sally was informative as well as fun. The trip was not extremely physically tasking and we saw seals, penguins, and lots of birds. A great way to experience Abel Tasman National Park.

Abel Tasman is so expensive!
The weather in New Zealand is so changeable. Started with a beautiful day and after 30 minutes the weather changed, cloudy, raining and windy.
