I can highly recommend this adventure!!
we had so much fun cruising the sounds with the boat, taking pictures, enjoying the beautiful landscape AND Leicester was the perfect guide!! Thanx for so many great memories!

Very nice boat safari.
You drive your own craft and a guide leads the group with his own craft. Very friendly!! The guide even took photos during the trip and after the trip he put the photos on CD and gave the CD for free.

The only tourist activity in the country where you can pilot your own boat !
You wanna see something more remote parts of the Marlborough Sounds ? This trip is for you ! Magnificent scenery and piloting your own little boat is just so much fun as well ! You go on a nice short walk to have a close look at some of the oldest forest of the area, still totally untouched. Beautiful ! The guide is really nice as well and he takes photos of the all group during the all day and gives you the photo CD for free ! Would definitely recommend it to anyone willing to see more remote parts of this beautiful regions !

Leicester is a cool guy and has been on the sounds for 25 years so is a cool guy with lots of knowledge.
Fantastic
Just did this today for my birthday and we were the only ones its great the boats only have a 10hp engine but they are so light they go pretty fast and are fun.
The sounds were fantastic as well great to be the only people around

This was one of the best days we spent on our trip of the South island.
The weather was great, we had the Sounds practically to ourselves and our guide Leicester brought us to some great spots. He really knew the area and we could see that he loved what he does. The boats were great fun to drive and after just a few minutes getting used to driving them you are free to do explore the water on your own (well within reason). If you are around this area for a few days this is one activity that you have to do.

Little boats you drive yourself.
Would recommend this to anyone - absolutely brilliant. Rubbish weather, but the guide was great and we saw loads of dolphins. Heaps of fun!!
