The site is spacious, accommodating a large number of campers, caravans, and vehicles.
We can also utilise the surrounding grassy areas in the adjacent green space.
You can enter and exit at any time.
Toilets and showers are located under the ride-through hill at the far end of the carpark from the campsites.

    Hot showers and toilets available.

Hot Showers only useable with kiwi cash (penny cash). It got quite crowded on the weekend which was very disturbing for us. But we really enjoyed the little distance to the forest. Many mtbs. Plenty of space for campervans

Nice location with access to Secret Spa cafe and hot tubs until 10pm (at extra cost).

Toilets OK - long walk from campervan area and not fantastic lighting. Lovely park and staff very helpful (though office closes at 4.30 which is awkward on arrival)

Place right on the mountain bike trail.

So you're standing in a lovely green area. Lots of space around you. For $20 without power, the toilet facilities weren't well maintained enough for us. Also, the street was very noisy.

You have to pay online if the information center is closed.

    A bit expensive.

A lot of space but very muddy with the rain.

    Showers 2$(kiwicash)for 5 minutes but cold …

Only 1 toilet was available for both men and women at night but it was clean enough.

The areas for pulling onto the grass could be better signposted and it’s difficult enough to pull up on the grass after rainfall

    Waipa Forest Camp.

Lovely camp spot. It’s a new spot. $25 per vehicle. Book at information centre during open hours or online if u Google it.

It’s right beside the car park for the mountain biking and secret spot hot tubs. There are toliets and showers. We went biking for the day and then booked a hot tub session in the evening (39 each) and used the showers there.

You pick any spot. Anywhere in the grass area beside the main car park. Ideal location for biking, hot tubs and a couple drinks in the hot tub bar!!

    Don’t park here.

Not a save area. The broke in our camper during daylight and stole a lot of personal belongings.

If you wanna stay / sleep in Rotorua: take your money and stay at a holiday park.

For parking during the day: take a spot with CCTV and/or surveillance

    Not worth the money!

Stayed here due to it's proximity to Rotarua and we were having car trouble! Toilets are clean-ish and you can shower with a kiwi card but not the nicest!

No signal at all! Beside a quiet enough road but really not worth the money. Not sure what the $25 fee is for. Have stayed in better freecamps!
