Te Puia Springs Hotel 101 km north of Gisborne and 28.5 km south of Ruatōria on State Highway 35. Establised Since 1918.
It is a site of warm thermal springs Hotel. The government, having unsuccessfully attempted to purchase the springs over a 10-year period, passed the Native Townships Act 1895 which made it possible for it to take the land.

This place is very run down and the family that seems to have taken over seem a bit disorganised.
Hot pool is small but hot and at least as clean as some other family run hot springs.
It was $40 for 2 which is steep considering there was no shower and the toilets campers can use, out the back of the hotel, were filthy.
