Great way to get around the city and see the sights.

We were on a coach tour that arrived in Christchurch on Boxing Day. There was yet another earth tremor during the night so trams were not running that day. However, they were running when we came back a few days later. Driver came down and spoke to passengers at the start of the ride.

    Clean, efficient, pretty.

A nice tradition of Christchurch, though perhaps priced a little towards the upper end of what the service represents, as a short circuit going slowly around a walkable area. On the other hand, the cost maintains a truly lovely tram infrastructure, makes for jobs for typically lovely staff and retains some more charm of a charming city.
