  • If you do not like walking take this gondola, it takes you up to the hill from which you can see how big Christchurch is.

Lovely lakes on the other side.

  • The ride itself is not spectacular, but the view from the top and the Bridle Path to Lyttelton were great.

  • Way too expensive for such a short ride.

Not easy to find the track we wanted - need more signs/information. But awesome location and view!

  • As we did not have our van yet, we decided to take the bus to the gondola.

This offered nice views and an introduction of mountains to come in New Zealand. It was a bit pricey though.

  • Nice view over Banks Peninsula.

From the top, you are able to walk down or go back by gondola. Prices could be down a bit.

  • Nice view but cannot compare to the Queenstown one.

The cafe up there is fine too.

  • Quite expensive for such a short ride. There is a road just behind the top of the Gondola you can go up and get to the same place for free.

Great hikes in the area as well.

  • Long enough to enjoy the view on a clear day.

We enjoyed the tour inside the top of the gondola and took a one way fare and walked down to Lyttelton Coffee Company.
