Sea fishing trips from Port Tarakohe in Golden Bay, targetting Snapper, Blue Cod, Gurnard, Kahawai, Perch & various sharks. Albacore Tuna trips available in February and March. All bait & quality fishing gear is supplied, along with light refreshments.
Our Senator launch is fully licensed & equipped for everything you will need to have a great experience on the water, whether fishing, sightseeing or snorkelling. We are dedicated to give you a great day out on the sea that you can tell all your friends about and have the photos to prove it. Your skipper Leigh is a third generation ex-commercial fisherman with over thirty years experience on the Tasman Sea, so he is a very knowledgeable skipper and fishing guide.
A scenic trip on the water in Golden Bay and Abel Tasman National Park will enable you to enjoy the unique scenery and wildlife of the Bays from the boat. Whether you choose to go swimming and snorkelling in the beautiful clear warm water or stay onboard to soak up the sun and scenery. This is a perfect trip for that unique photo opportunity whether you’re a novice or a professional photographer. Sightseeing & snorkeling trips include a light brunch onboard.

Today we went fishing with wildcats.
There were just the three of us and one more tourist on the boat. We caught a lot of cod and red snapper. We really enjoyed the half day fishing. Afterwards we got out fish nice and clean for to take home. Thanks a lot to wildcats

We were very impressed with Wildcat Charters fishing trip.
From the safety instructions given by Leigh at the start right through to the expertly filleted fish, it was truly an experience. The boat was well presented, very comfortable and well equipped. We were also offered tea/coffee and biscuits. The fishing was great with a wide variety caught. Leigh and his crew were on hand to offer expert advice with baiting and removing fish which was done efficiently, ensuring the fish which was not of size and quota returned to the sea unharmed. We would also highly recommend staying at the Wildcat Motel for a comfortable stay with the owners/operator of the Wildcat Charters.
