Information

Te Ana Falls Track

2 km return | 30 minutes return

Te Ana Falls crash into a cylindrical crater they have excavated. The breath of the water’s plunge causes the ferns and mosses adorning the cavern walls to glisten and the fine misty spray is a life saver on a hot day.

Walking Track

Access

The start of the track is signposted from Tangoio Falls Scenic Reserve carpark, 27 km north of Napier on SH2.

Track

The even and wide track may have a few muddy patches to negotiate on the gentle ascent alongside the Kareaara Stream. There is a short loop to access the falls.
