Our experience with Omega Rentals was terrible and I would advise everyone to avoid renting a car from them at all costs.

Our rental car broke down near Queenstown, and was eventually advised by AA roadside assistance that the car would towed (we were advised to contact AA and follow their direction by Omega Rentals). Upon knowing of the rental car being towed we were offered zero assistance by Omega Rental and left stranded in a remote location. We received full refusal of any help from Omega, including no assistance to return to Queenstown or any offer of a replacement rental car, despite the car breakdown being no fault of ours. We were forced to personally pay for a $150 taxi from the breakdown location. This was completely unacceptable level of customer service. Fortunately for us this was the last day of our car hire. However, the breakdown did result in 3 people in the rental car missing a flight out of Queenstown and needing an additional nights accommodation (incurring cost to rebook flights and extra nights accommodation).

Since the breakdown and completion of the hire, communication from Omega has been terrible. Omega has refused to take any responsibility for the breakdown of our rental car, including providing any compensation for the Taxi. It has now been over 3 weeks of Omega just ignoring my emails to them. Their customer service has been terrible from the minute the rental car broke down. I would under no circumstances recommend that someone rents a car with Omega Rents - avoid them at all costs.

Professional yet personal organization.

Car as described and ready on time. Drop off, no problem. Best prices by 50++% so was happy to get treated well by these folks. Rented twice from them...both pick up here, drop there...no problems

Rented a vehicle from Omega Rental Cars Wellington, The rental car was a modern Toyota Yaris Cross with low kilometers great little car, The lady at the check in desk at Hutt Road was very professional

We hired a '23 Toyota Yaris for 3 days from Blenheim airport.

Very well organised prior by email and seamless collection / return as the airport office was closed being a long weekend. Car was clean and all we needed. Have already made another booking with Omega due to our experience and very good rates.

This services was really easy to work with.

From initial booking and contact to drop off - just a seamless service.

They were very accomodating and flexible when it came to pick up time and drop off. The traffic is terrible so updating them with all delays and having them respond in such a timely manner eased a lot of stress.

For even the cost of the rental - very affordable and easy to manage as the excess fees and hirage fee was just super easy. No hidden fees or costs 👌

The car itself drive smoothly and very cool with the features one thing I would like to recommend is adding a phone holder as an option in the vehicles irregardless of having Apple CarPlay it would make it easier for like navigating features on your phone without breaking the law 👀😄

Great cars and fast efficient service at both ends.

We were 3 Aussie couples in 3 RAV4’s rented from Omega and could not fault their cars or people.

And the price was the lowest in NZ. What’s not to like ?

Easy efficient service.

From booking online to the car drop off, every part of the experience was quick and efficient. Their shuttle service was also very streamlined and convenient. They give very clear instructions (both written and verbal) which makes it so much easier when you’re navigating your way in an unfamiliar city. I also appreciated the drop off shuttle service after returning the car to the Auckland airport location (which is not within walking distance).

Although the price of gas is expensive, this still turned out to be a reasonably affordable option for our circumstances.

While the car was smaller than we expected, it was comfortable, affordable and did the job well.

We have used them in the past and they just continued to get better!
